so only if you are called "swordsman" on panel you are one? not if you fought with a sword your entire life, were a rival to the WSS for years, have a named sword, used your swords every time you clashed with another top tier on panel?!

interesting indeed.
Shanks has like 2 panels of him fighting. It’s way too premature to say that he only uses a sword

Why is he Mihawk's rival then ?
Why is Yasopp Vista’s rival?

Even if it means he's the world's strongest pirate, Shanks is known as more than a pirate. He's not just a pirate. He can clearly negotiate with the world government. He's probably a high ranking official. Who knows what else he's got under his sleeve.
Sure, if Kaido and Shanks fought in a 1v1 fight with just piracy Kaido probably edges him out. But overall, Shanks is still stronger because of his haki and other fighting styles outside of piracy.

What do you think @Red Admiral ? Do you agree ?
Fighting with piracy :gonope:
Fighting with snitching :goyea:

Shanks is son of Rocks.

  • I've seen some good points as to why Yamato was never cuffed in seastone. 1) She ate the Devil Fruit in secret and never exposed her power. 2) The Queen thing, where Luffy's seastone was foolishly removed because they thought a deadly collar did the same job. 3) Kaido wants Yamato to grow stronger, he cannot restrict her ability to use haki and therefore settled for the collar.

  • Sasaki always looked just a bit too much like Holdem. What if the funny pattern on his blade is an extending whip sword? Oda upset that Holdem teased it but never got to use in the manga.:catsweat:
  • Funny that there's a guard dog Gifter blocking the path to the Poneglyph room.:lawbepo:
  • Law talking about checkered fate is a good, consistent translation. The same exact words Sengoku brought up about the D.

  • I love how Yamato's attire is similar to a traditional japanese archer, then she launches a head-exploding attack called Arrow.
Now that we're finally getting the floor layouts, I just have to say how much I love Onigashima as a battlefield. The live floor, the multi-level towers, the balconies, the bridges, the private rooms, the bath house, the brothels, the giant cavern entrance, the outside giant shrine, the rocky snowy skull dome up top for quiet space. Oda put so much crafting a unique battlefield where other authors would stick to a natural wasteland or generic urbanscape to avoid complexity and details. I can't wait for the anime team to give us the full layout with color, noise, a full screen with no speech bubbles to make it far easier to keep track of landmarks and the paths pirates are taking.
Stag Gifter shoutout. The legend continues living. Watch him be the final surviving Beast Pirate.

Massive respect for the armored division. They cornered Yamato, forcing her to go between whacking their shields then running back to take hits for Momo and Shinobu. THIS is the power Wano manufactured weaponry has given to fodder. THIS is why they turned the country upside down with factories. I mean, Yamato is not actually bleeding but those are the Kaido genes, most other prominent fighters would be taking considerable damage from this special fodder squad. This late in the game it looks like Who's Who and his cool cats are only other specialized subordinate squad, since Maria's girls are non-fighters, so I hope they have an impressive showing as well.
I'm not quite freaking about this because the Dawn is the most vague concept in the series. I believe an ancient weapon like Shirahoshi is also imperative to the Dawn, that doesn't mean she has to join the Strawhats or visit Laugh Tale. Is Momo an ancient weapon with his VOAT that commands Zunisha? Is he joining the Strawhats like Oden joined Roger? Is the Shogun opening up Wano enough to say he guided the world to Dawn? I really couldn't tell you at this point.

What's more interesting are the implications for Yamato. She put Momo's relevance above her own. Yamato is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for the future Shogun. It definitely does hurt her chances for nakama to say someone else is crucial in bringing the Dawn and not include herself in that. A very Pedro-like statement. But keep in mind she does consider herself Oden, reaffirming this chapter, and asked Luffy for a ride on his ship. I won't sell her short just yet.
Sounds like I missed a fun 24 hours wildly speculating about Ivankov. It wasn't Gin behind Who's Who's mask, it wasn't Gaban randomly in Neko's ship, and Ivankov wasn't suddenly in the third floor of Yonko Kaido's headquarters. People seriously underestimate Oda's writing too much that they think he'll throw in hype characters out of left field to boost the arc without properly resolving other plotlines and foreshadowing their appearance.

Regardless, there's still some interesting characters in the realm of possibility. We're looking at a high status character (hence "lord") who was not previously revealed as a pervert. Orochi. King. Queen. Jack. Who's Who. Fukurukujo. Because the female speaking with hearts has a high chance of imitating the speech quirk only seen in Black Maria, take out the last two who are not superior in rank. Is Jack weary from battle and looking for big women? Queen making up for Komurasaki's death? Is King having his Donuts moment and it turns out he's a tremendous womanizer? Did a fake clone of Orochi die and he's been an unaware, blissful pervert the entire time? It looks inappropriate to be doing this now, but Maria's at fault for relocating the prostitutes and not expecting some drunk pirates to get frisky. Things could get really interesting for Sanji if he has to fight over a woman.

Seth, why not? Seriously what do you have against women? More women the better.
Sure Oda's usual depiction is crappy but, and I know how you feel but stop, Yamato is a better depiction and he did Nami a solid even if I hate her.
That line "What do you have against womem?" wasn't neccessary in your joke.

I just set up my mind on who king is and trust me. King being woman is not the worst case scenario I'm worried about looking at Oda's fantasy with gifters and shit:whitepress:

True but Doffy had the largest web and the most important partners, plus he had a lot of rackets while the guys at the Tea Party were specialized in one field each.
Doflamingo had the most important role in the underworld and Oda specified this a lot of times
