If Sanji was utterly unable of hitting Kalifa then his chances of hitting Black Maria are 0.

IIRC the only chance he would hit a woman is when the life of someone he loves is in serious danger.

Like if Ulti tried to kill Nami I think Sanji would hit Ulti, but it's the way I remember it. Not sure how much canonicity there is.

His own life isn't englobed into the equation however. He would 100% prefer death.

Viola literally had Sanji in the same position as Khalifa/BM. Yet he knew she was good.

Pudding literally was planning to kill him, yet Sanji knew she was good.

Zoro blocking Queens attack was a long ranged move it looks like. Just saying to wait because we've had random clashes in arcs before that lead to nothing.

Queen still is interested in Sanji. That has to pay off in the narrative. Kaido moving Onigashima like a boss allows for more Zoro flashback connections to work later on if its tied to Shimotsuki. Maybe even King

It's fine if Luffy and Zoro manage to wound kaido but after this feat, if the alliance manages to kill kaido ,it's going to be a fairy tale level of asspull
