I'm more concerned about why Oda kept us waiting for so damn long. Look at it this way. Everyone with an IQ above elementary school should know that serious Zoro could potentially one-shot someone like Apoo or just massacre him. Like Zoro could do that the first time they encountered Apoo. But Oda didn't make Zoro do that to try and make a fool of a reader and just stall this moment for the sake of Apoo running away with the antidote.
I love this moment and can't wait for the pics but Oda really needs to work on the realism of his writing. If Zoro could do that shit since the beginning of the raid then arguments like "I was holding back so I won't use too much power before Kaido" are just fucking dumb.
The same goes for the numbers thing. Oda jerks off this fucking motive of small army vs big army where Luffy and Kidd could just snap their fingers CoC wave and 40k fodders are fucking done.
People will jump in front of the crowd and protect Oda like he's some fucking virgin God writer with zero writing flaws at all. Just why we are getting cucked by him?

He isn't risking, he knows the virus takes 1 hour to kill those infected, maybe he's trying not to waste his energies using Haki / High-Level attacks because he wants to fight Kaido himself. Remember at the start of the raid, they were saying the need to keep their energies and not get damaged early on, so they are able to fight the big guy himself.
Brah, people were becoming ice onis and killing other people. While the virus gives you 1 h of survival, those infect will turn on their allies and kill them. Sheesh.
Dont think straight up one shotting apoo is more energy than running around after him and using multiple named attacks while getting attacked back anyways.
