Why? Its not like he can't bail from the fight after some time.

Zoro's main issue here is that Kaido is thrashing Kin'emon and friends and he wants to save them. After he goes up and starts the fight with Luffy, the scabbrds can retreat and then after a while If King interferes, Zoro can bail to deal with him 1v1.

No one actaully believes Zoro won't get a 1v1 this arc. thats impossible

Thats actually not true. Zoro was going to kaido before he even knew kinemon and co were up there. His target is kaido. No one else.
