However then the providers confirmed Zoro stated it in a mockery mood which actually makes us believe that Kaido's very title is not as cemented as in the past if Zoro's words come from Oda's will and not simply his own.

But I personally don't feel like it. Kaido is still the WSC since he was solidly introduced like that.

It doesn't matter. Fact is, Apoo was distracted by Drake and couldn't properly prepare for Zoro's attack. We don't know what his devil fruit can really do, it might even have some defensive options. That's how Oda drew that fight. 2 vs. 1.

Zoro's finisher moves always means speed blitzing his opponent, not sure how Apoo could even react in time even if he was facing Zoro.

What do you mean it doesn't matter. You claimed Zoro only defeated him because Drake was there. But then ignore that even without Drake, the weapon Apoo uses to defend was cut.
Well that's an assumption you must prove about his fruit.

If you think Apoo would just let Zoro approach him and do absolutely nothing about it, then I don't know what to tell you. Drake was important here, because he was able to distract Apoo for a while, creating that opening for Zoro to cut him down for good.
