I do not care if some need to team up or some assistance to win, as long as I get the feeling they accomplished something big by the end. I doubt a straw hat defeating gifters/irrelevant headliner/irrelevant ninja would make me feel anything and that's why I'm mostly focused on topi roppo and calamities since everyone else barely matter narratively. There are still the numbers but their portrayal has been extremely poor so far.
When I think about it, the last real fight for most straw hats were in fishman island, and it was mostly a warm-up. Fishman Island was a almost decade ago. A decade. Crazy
How I'm supposed to believe they will be worthy of being the Pirate King crew in a near future if I don't get to ever see them do anything in battle?
Wano has been build up for 8 years, it will be without a doubt the biggest and longest arc in the series until the final war so yeah I expect some nice feats for everyone.

100% This is why I do not care of Nami and Usopp team up to fight a monster like Ulti. It makes sense that these 2 effectively should at this time. And its also why I'd expect Luffy to receive help to best Kaido because we all KNOW he's pretty early in even facing someone like him. All that matters is that eventually they win and it reflects growth.

I think people will realize is there aren't many other allies who can take these people on. Oda sent 9 of some of the strongest to get totalled by Kaido before the matchups even begin, and virtually every other ally is a Supernova that intends on fighting Kaido.

Luffy has asked his crew to "have his back" so i would take this as his crew actually fighting Kaido's own crew, because that's who is there. Now this can shift if the BMP or Orochi's top people become more important, but as of now I'm still thinking they are fighting Kaido's core crew members

Do you think the scabbards have any roles going forwards? (Disregarding Kaido interactions)
