what did mihawk say at his introduction?
his blade knows no restraint sounds almost identical to the way enma is described.
but mihawk possesses a black blade probably one he made himself, the only other person to being ryuuma probably the strongest wano samurai ever in an island that currently produced the likes of kyoshiro , oden, shutenmaru and more. Not just that, Yoru is an even higher grade blade than enma is.
if oden is capable of scarring kaido , how exactly people scale mihawk along with commanders is beyond me. its very sickening . n
when mihawk met with shanks they spoke like people with some sort of rivalry , not even shanks commanders would but in between the two of them. No indication was given in the slightest that shanks somehow surpassed mihawk after losing an arm. mihawk just lost interest.

again all top tiers . there isnt a world strongest sniper title anywhere around but swords are very common in op and being the strongest swordsman is no small feat. people need to get their head out of their ass. For those who like to somehow equate mihawk and shanks to luffy and zoro goal wise , you need to stop enforcing weird parallels. shanks isnt the pirate king , that was roger, thats luffy's end all and zoro's is mihawk.
its just as disgusting as people who perceived garp was a fraud because smoker got credit for luffy's victory in alabasta and in the fandom's mind since that was garp's parallel and garp didnt capture roger, then garp might as well have been just as strong as smoker is. Then the rox info came out, his fight with shiki and more. shanks not being a yonko 12 yrs ago does not discredit mihawk either. he became a yonko 6 yrs after he lost his arm, he might have grown stronger or maybe he remained at relatively the same strength but to assume that while shanks did, mihawk stagnated is silly.
Does the way vista talk to mihawk give any indication that they are close in strength?
does mihawk's thoughts panning away to luffy at that moment while clashing with vista ring any bells?
the commanders were sent to stall all top tiers in mf including mihawk, kizaru, aokiji .

mihawk does not mention the distance between that man and I but us. people need to read the official translation
it is amazing tho that both of the times we have seen shanks stop another top tier is with his sword but we assume the best swordsman is incapable of matching such feat.

Whitebeard and BM are using swords, and we know they are stronger than Mihawk, another dent on the Mihawk title
King is too strong and fast, he took care of BM and her crew, Mihawk had to double attack Daz Bones to take care of him (post Alabasta Zoro can oneshot Daz), and was blocked by Crocodile.
I think King takes it high diff.
