At first it was just gags with the okama thing and all, then the nosebleeding stuff suddenly got serious, then PH with groping and so on.

Are Ace and Yamato top tiers too coz their clash could move the sea and look at how Ace's fire reaches the top of the skull easily?
if Ace (already had great AoE at that time too) found base yamato (using only haki) too strong
People who believes Commander Ace can beat Cracker easily , should stop.
Ace can only beat calamities, Marco/Vista and maybe Smoothie trash

We don't know anything about Yamato's canine ability, if it's really a df, if she already had it, or if Ace was going all out. All what Oda wanted to portray there was that they were comparable, with Ace stopping the fight before it became too serious after realizing Yamato was a prisoner
And if current Yamato couldn't easily deal with Sasaki's group(albeit while protecting Momo) then it implies her growth rate was shit if she even grew at all considering that shortly afterwards, Ace went on to beat Jinbei(a veteran Shichibukai) who is about to fight Who's Who's entire squad, with commander Ace significantly stronger than the version of Ace who fought Jinbei

So everything points to oden If alive today, 20 years later, would most than probably be Yonko lvl. ( Since hes was wining against a Future yonko)

... Ace beat jinbei after 5 days. Even then he still praised Yamato more than he did praise Jinbei.Base Yamato toys with g2 and g3 luffy and was gonna trash Sasaki and crew if Momo wasn't there.
