The sooner people understand that Zoro and Sanji aren't written in parallel the better some people will be off.
Zoro's character like Luffy is fighter base. His dream and goal are all strength related therefore the need for strength to be integral to his character and story.
Oda didn't cut a deal with anyone saying that Zoro and Sanji are some sort of rival strength wise. Oda lives his gags and will have the 2 of them bickering until the maga end yet it doesn't means he's writing them like Naruto and Sasuke or something.
Forget this ridiculous fantasy about Zoro being bound to Sanji strength wise. He's not.

That’s what I was thinking. Zoro vs a calamity will give Zoro so many more moments than Zoro just taking part in the Kaido fight.
I’ve seen people say if Zoro starts against a calamity Oda won’t give him as good as moments against Kaido as he would if he weren’t. This doesn’t make sense to me. If Oda wants Zoro to have a specific moment during the Kaido fight a calamity fight isn’t going to stop that. It never has before.
It’s like people don’t realize that if he just fights Kaido he’ll be second third or fourth fiddle to Odas supernova trio.
