AdvCoA seemingly comes into the game with new attack names.. Now that's what I like.
Strange though, that Oda did not let Luffy use it against anyone besides BM or Kaido before. We could have had a clean scale.
Normal damage against those guys is heavy damage to others.

He is not taking any L more than Luffy. He just doesn't have the same plot armor. Luffy vs BM : in jail first, then put down easy at the wedding. Against Kaido dusted quick and Udon'ed like Kid.

Still it's sad knowing that he won't ever be a serious competitor.

Maybe the tension is less but defeat is a bad thing too. Especially in one piece where mst people pick death over defeat a lot.

The scabbards were very very fine with dying. That in itself shows that death isn't the big deal here. The big deal was that the scabbards wanted to take kaido with them. They wanted to win. Defeat is worse than death
