Claiming Zoro is a better cook is not really pointing out what happened. Zoro would need to be able to cut the fish correctly for that to be the case, which he can’t do. Sanji was stuck on how to cut the fish properly because a cook is supposed to only use knives, not swords. Therefore it’s totally logical that the swordsman would be the one to suggest using a sword, since he’s the one who carries swords all the time and knows how swords work.

Hoping oda does something good based on this. Atleast stop deteriorating his character. Since I don't think it would undo what has already happened.

He's not deteriorating......Sanji's still a great cook, this artist just does a much better job artistically showing characters cooking tbh. Whats happening with Sanji currently is more of the same situations he was in pre time skip so that's not deterioration. Plus the Strawhats interacting is something Oda rarely does anymore.

Whats happening with Sanji currently is more of the same situations he was in pre time skip so that's not deterioration. Plus the Strawhats interacting is something Oda rarely does anymore.

I agree. Other than Sanji's gags being more annoying due to the weird faces and nose bleeds compared to only the heart eyes. They havent actually become more frequent. Just more noticeable. Post Timeskip Sanji is pretty much Pre Timeskip Sanji, only thing is that plot never allows him to finish fights or they get off-panalled.

Now why was unironically better than anything canon in OP in recent memory? Not to mention the art was also exceptional. Reminds me of the days when Sanji was my favourite character. Makes you feel bad when you look at what we're actually getting in the main story.

It just felt realistic, natural and had some great characterization and crew interaction.

Just a lot of stuff that's lacking in post-skip OP.

Well Sanji has to be put in an arc that requires the straw hats to fight, in order for him to get a fight with a conclusion.
