There’s a very good argument that he will. We went into Wano with Shanks saying he and Luffy will meet soon. Which means that Luffy will be a great pirate at the end of it.

That could well mean that post-Wano Luffy is as strong as Shanks.

So how high do you think the bar was to make it into that lineup we get behind Luffy ?

Roger, Whitebeard, Xebec and Shanks are the only others, how far bellow is Oden ?

Like I’ve said on other threads, I think all the top tiers can make that lineup. Those five are just the ones Kaido has personally fought.

Cause it’s in the fight that Luffy and Zoro will push themselves to Shanks and Oden levels. They aren’t there now, the same way Luffy wasn’t as strong as Katakuri until later in the fight. I think Zoro will cut Kaido in a way that at least matches Oden, if not surpasses him. This doesn't necessarily mean I think he'd win in a 1v1, however.

Luffy and Zoro will need to be in the position to fight for their dreams of being Pirate King and WSS. The Kaido fight has them beating a top tier as a group, after that all there is for them is doing it solo.

All this is answered by what I’ve said- One Piece is ending soon. The only threats Luffy and Zoro need to face after Wano are the greatest threats they will ever see.

Shiryu, for example, is Blackbeard’s version of Rayleigh, Oden and Zoro. So the answer to the question of how strong he’ll be is very. It does not take much for Oda to hype up an opponents strength. We had no idea Oden was so powerful at the start of Wano. Two chapters ago the majority of readers here had Killer marked down as basically garbage.

Zoro doesn’t need to beat a YC anymore than Kid or Law needed to. He’s fighting Kaido and BM, that’s all the proof of strength we need.
