Saying Shanks has another "power" doesn't really make much sense. He has no DF, he hasn't even a second arm anymore to use a gun (though it's not like a gun would add much value to a supposedly supreme grade blade wielded with proficiency). And yes, kicks won't add much value either. We know that you can infuse your blade with CoA and CoC. So whatever Shanks can do with his Haki alone, when channeled through his blade with his supreme skill, it is much better. That's why even Whitebeard, who has the strongest paramecia, uses a supreme grade blade. Because it makes him stronger. Let alone Shanks, who has no DF and great swordskill.

Subverting expectations by obliterating Kid by itself is a fantastic writing move.
It’s the fact that Oda did this via Shanks that is the issue, Shanks is just a fanservice character who feels completely disconnected from everyone else because Oda just wants to massage his balls every millisecond. A skilled writer would’ve destroyed Kid and Shanks both at the same time.

She is incompetent and that's part of who she is as a character. She's written that way to fulfil her themes, which she does very well. Literally all One Piece villains and most villains in general are incompetent or hubristic in some fashion, so I don't know why sexism has to be brought up when it comes to Big Meme.
Her weaknesses were something only Sanji and Bege respectively were capable of taking advantage of, and even then only to get away from her. She's way more competent than Kaido tbh.
