First , Shanks came back to HolyLand once and then returned to the lower realm , Confirmed by Shamrock.

Now , looking at the timeline.

27 years old Shanks - When he lost his hand.
33 year old Shanks - He beat Loki
33 year old Shanks - Became Yonkou

Currently - 39 years old.

Maybe shanks went to Holy land between the age of 27~33.

Where both him and Shamrock got their respective Swords - " Cereberus " and " Grpyhon ".

Regardless if his sword has a DF or not, he still fights like a swordsman. Dont buy into Oda's mindgames.

I really don't think so I would qualify that as swordsmanship. Whatever Shamrock did so far , doesn't look like swordsman to me

That's like saying Kizaru doesnt fight like a swordsman, which he clearly is, confirmed vs Rayleigh, because he shot lasers and used kicks against Supernovas.
As I said, dont buy into Oda's tricks.

Using sword as one of your options in your arsenal vs Using sword for everything, Zoro , Oden , Roger , Mihawk falls in this category.

Bigmeme uses a sword a too , but I can barely call her a swordsman. Even when she has Elbaf Swordsmanship type.

I think Shanks like Sanji is a combination of his father that raised him and his biological father

• Shanks and Sanji being of royal blood raised by pirates
  • They learned their pirate fathers fighting style maybe with their own twist
    • Like Sanji developing diable
  • Eventually inherit a science based power up based on their evil scientists bio fathers
    • It’d be interesting if shanks was also experimented on pre birth like Sanji or even Bonney who might also be of Figarland blood

Zoro , Wado is still same
Mihawk , Yoru is still same
