Questions & Mysteries Is Oda just Japanese George Lucas

Yep the classic deflection from low IQ prequel defenders, “everyone who hates the prequels must be 50 years old”, “the prequels aren’t bad, people just have blind nostalgia” lmfao. The prequels were my childhood buddy, the og trilogy had been out for decades by the time I was born.

That said, the prequels being dogshit is objective, nothing about them is good. The OG trilogy outside of Empire really isn’t even that good either, they are simply well made films and nothing more. Star Wars was never that good but prequel enjoyers aren’t ready for that conversation since they Straw Man everyone who tells them how awful the prequels are as blind OG trilogy fans lmfao.

Nope sorry, the prequels are godawful CGI slop written by a retard who looked at a Space Nazi SS officer and thought “I’d better make him Space Jesus” LOL
I forget that Lucas had Anakin literally born of a virgin in the phantom menace lmao.

Lucas literally made a Nazi SS officer space Jesus. LMFAO

Why was Darth Vader space Jesus? Because Darth Vader was popular. That’s it, that’s the only reason. There was absolutely nothing about the actual in-series story of the OG trilogy that justified the idea of a Fascist Enforcer who found his humanity during the last 5 minutes of his life was some messianic figure of prophecy.

It’s almost baffling how Lucas looked at the OG trilogy and came to this conclusion. It’s like Plinkett said “it’s almost baffling how complex the awfulness is.” Anyone who hasn’t seen Mr. Plinkett’s review of the OG trilogy, go watch them as they are a good start in understanding how irredeemable these films are.

God don’t even get me started ranting about how the Star Wars prequels are garbage. I will literally resurrect Lee of the 2 thousand word essays.

At least the games are fun.

I can’t bring myself to hate the prequels or game content set in the republic era for that sole reason

Disney power scaling goes against movies. In movies anakin dominated vader. In obi wan show , obi wan dominates vader at the end with force which suggest anakin >> vader.

In movies old obi wan was meant to be weaker than his younger self. In disney canon old obi wan is stronger than his younger self.

We can resolve this by saying their force powers are stronger but light saber skills are weaker.

Young Obi >>> Old Obi in lightsaber dueling
Old Obi >>> Young Obi in force power

This is logical. Makes no sense how crippled vader got stronger than anakin.
And Anakin's spirit had been broken by the death of Padmé and being told he was the one who killed her. Vader could have become stronger than Anakin but he was too swallowed in grief, self-loathing and self-pity for him to ever truly recover his fighting spirit, which is why Darth Sidious was eager to replace him with Luke as his apprentice.

Disney will never fix any of Star Wars’s problems, they are a parasitic corporation that exists to cannibalize things for profit, they ain’t here to fix Star Wars lmfao.

I watched the Maul show, I haven’t watched anything Star Wars related since The Last Jedi, but I watched the Maul show. It started off solid, and then shat it’s pants when Vader showed up at the end.

Serious question: why should Vader dominate Maul? Answer: he shouldn’t, Maul was also a Sith Lord, and prior to this godawful idea of Vader as space Jesus, there was literally nothing to suggest Vader was especially powerful aside from Yoda vaguely calling him “strong”, which wasn’t meant to imply that Vader could dominate other Sith Lords, but was just meant to illustrate to Luke that he was just a learner while Vader was a master.

Now I don’t care what kind of bullshit Lucas/Disney try to push: Vader ain’t that powerful. He’s a master, he shouldn’t be overpowering other masters lol.

But apparently Ashoka one shot an inquisitor who pushed Maul hard, so the real loser in this situation was me for ever believing modern Star Wars was worth even giving a chance lol
It's just about glazing him since he's the most iconic person in the franchise, and template for all sith I guess.

I don't really think it works because he's implied to have lost a lot of his potential after burning alive, and did kind of lose to the only Jedi he fought on screen that wasn't a youngling, lol. A ruthless enforcer sure, but I don't think he should really be Yoda/Palpatine level, and whatever sith/Jedi were on that level in the past

But idk, I don't really follow Star wars and it's ultimately arbitrary PL wise if you have so many people involved. There are people who made Star wars stories where the characters are planet level, which is just obviously not true in the movies

I like Revenge of the Sith a lot but even there I have to consciously ignore the dialogue.

Feel like the prequels beat the sequels because the era is original and an interesting setting for games, shows, and comics, whereas with the sequels it's just the OT again but worse and incoherent.
Prequels actually had ideas, whether you dislike or like them.
Sequels are an actual waste of time if you care about lore/the star wars verse.
