It took me a few days, but I think I've finally collated every panel that Yamato appears in, or hints at Yamato, or even vaguely references her.

I can now begin with my series of Yamato posts. I'll probably work through them before 1014 drops.

The strongest reason why Yamato will join the crew is simple:
1. Ace promised Yamato to take her out to sea; Ace died and couldn't fulfil his promise.
2. Ace promised Tama to defeat Kaido/create a country where she wouldn't have to go hungry; Ace died and couldn't fulfil his promise.

Luffy is fulfilling Ace's promise to Tama.
Luffy will fulfil Ace's promise to Yamato.

Therefore, Yamato is the next nakama.

Q.E.D.
