What do you think about pre-Udon Bound Man AP after Kidd massively outclassed Bound Man's AP when he hurt Kaido?
I used to think, Bound Man's AP was at the highest end of high tiers, if not even slightly above high tiers in general but after Kidd's performance, I do no longer think that. I still think, the strongest Calamity, King, can still outclass this Bound Man version with his potential advanced Haki and-
Zoro has proven that he can dish out top tier attacks, he only needs to prove that he can reliably handle the higher calibre attacks of legitimate top tiers, to justify a placement in the low top tier category.
If Zoro can handle the below attacks, I would move him up to low top tier category:
* Kaido's Thunder Bagua
* Big Mom's Ikkoku Sovereignty
* BIg Mom's Cognac
* Named weapon attacks from Kaido/Big Mom
I think I overreacted a bit to the latest chapter. After reading the Viz, Mama:
* Told Kaido to "watch out" not "dodge"
* Said "we underestimated them"
Zoro still demonstrated offensive prowess that alarmed Big Mom and caused Kaido to dodge, but it's not quite as Godly as I previously thought.
Also, Zoro only huffed after the attack instead of wheezing, so he's probably not exhausted.
I think Zoro beats any two of (Jack, Queen, Cracker, Smoothie). He may be able to pull off the win even if you add Jozu and Vista there, but I'm not sure.
I definitely see Zoro getting taxed handling two mid high tiers, but he oneshots, and they can only delay the inevitable for so long.
3 Mid High tiers is probably too much for him though. At least until he gets better feats for endurance/durability and reactions.
I would be lying if I say I don't believe Zoro will kill Kaido. I still don't openly claim it is what will happen, but after the latest chapter, I would be surprised if Zoro did not land that final blow.
Whatever beliefs I profess, that expectation remains the same. ZKK.
Katakuri is the only High Tier that I think it's reasonable to argue might be able to beat Santoryu Zoro.
Santoryu Zoro has the offensive prowess to oneshot virtually all high tiers with his most powerful techniques. To beat him, one would need the ability to shut down or otherwise neutralise his offense.
Future Sight + Shapeshifting + Snakeman speed might give Katakuri the ability to do that.
I find the Zoro haters annoying, but I'm having people tell me that Kaido screaming after Law's Rock Spam and Kidd's Slam Gibson doesn't mean that Law and Kidd actually damaged Kaido.
There's delusional, and then there's claiming "AAAAAAAAAAAARRGGHHH!!!" is not a scream in pain.
The substantial difference in combat ability between Killer and Kamazou was humbling.
I had spilled much ink arguing that Killer wasn't significantly nerfed while fighting Zoro because he had several weeks to adapt to his new Scythes while Zoro was able to improvise a named technique within seconds.
The lack of named techniques and the different weapons should have been enough.
I'm not going to argue that Zoro beats Katakuri yet. I think a case can be made, but Zoro will get more feats soon, so I'll wait on them.
The main things I think people are missing:
* Underestimating the size of Zoro's strongest slashes (they're not actually thin/narrow, see 1080 PC vs Pica)
* Even if Zoro's slashes were narrow, Kata can't warp around moves like Kokujo Ou Tatsumaki.
I have said that I don't think Zoro will surpass Oden. I still don't think he will, but last chapter has caused me to make an update in that direction.
I'm always willing to change my mind, so below are the events would make me update in favour of Zoro surpassing Oden (ordered in ascending order of importance):
That no one is attributing Killer's accomplishments to Punisher, Law's to the Ope Ope no Mi or Luffy's to the Gomu Gomu Gomu no Mi is in retrospect pretty surprising.
Zoro fans fucked up by even entertaining the notion of separating Enma from Zoro.
Attempts to deny Zoro's accomplishments should be treated with the same regard as attempts to deny the accomplishments of any other Supernova.
