I prefer One Piece in general, but Naruto's art is hands down better. Oda is more detail-oriented (e.g.: puts a lot of work in the backgrounds) and creative, which is great, but most of his female character designs are derivative of himself.
He's a killer and he likes it, just like the other CP-0 (and 9) agents (except Stussy maybe). I guess he's more of a fighting man, since he was loving his battle with Zoro up until he was cut down and even wanted to uncuff him from Sogeking, but he was in Mary Geoise justifying Charlos' actions...
I think that Naruto wanted to be recognized only. Becoming Hokage was his means to do it, but I feel that he just wanted to be loved. I guess that he achieved it by Pain's invasion arc, so the dream doesn't really make sense, I agree (specially when he doesn't even like the job, at least...
Gaara really had a lot of development after his battle with Naruto, but there are many One Piece characters with similar development (e.g.: Buggy, Crocodile, Lucci), and some have even more fantastic journeys and buildups (Buggy's leap from East Blue "king" to Yonko, leading stronger pirates to...
In my personal experience, Shippuden was a drag... mostly. The only four (?) arcs I genuinely liked were the Gaara rescue mission, Team 10/7 vs. Hidan/Kakuzu, Jiraya vs. Pain (the best arc of the series, IMO) and Sasuke vs. Itachi (I don't remember if it's 3 or 4 arcs and I don't remember their...
Well, there are a few reasons:
1. Animes/mangas in general aren't that popular in the west as they are in Japan. Perhaps it got more attention recently, specially with the One Piece live action, but it's a MUCH stronger market in Japan;
2. The more successful ones had better adaptations and...
She probably ate it thinking it was a normal fruit, by accident perhaps. Just like Chopper, he was a normal reindeer back in Drum Kingdom and had the luck to stumble upon the Hito Hito no Mi.
How DFs appear is still (mostly) a mystery, but Punk Hazard Arc hints that, when the user dies (or...
I know, but everyone at the time thought that Luffy needed to rest for 10 minutes. As you see, some people even believed that Luffy could use G4 without limit by WCI.
Oda's answer means, in other words, that the gladiators "run piece" in Dressrosa was unnecessary. Oda seems to put limits where...
When we have Garp (or Tsuru, if you consider that Garp was only a VA by his own wish) and Maynard as vice admirals, we naturally know that their strength can vary drastically. I particularly wanted to see other strong VAs besides the past current admirals or Aokiji and Garp... Marineford Arc and...
Looks like when Luffy needed to be carried by Gatz in Dressrosa. After the Cracker fight, Oda got asked about G4's 10 minutes limit and he just responded that Luffy could've ran on his own in Dressrosa, he just wanted to preserve his energy (SBS Vol. 89)...
It will be a world war, it's evident since Marineford. It won't be the entire world, since the WG have hundreds of affiliated countries, but Luffy will have a massive force. Some may turn sides, but I don't think that any of the WG founding families will ally with Luffy (besides the Nefertari...
Not quite islands, but there are a few confirmed places in the ocean floor. We can see them on Hatchan's and Jinbe's cover stories (see below):
It wouldn't be a stretch to think that there may be other fishmen/mermen villages out there, since we know, for example, that not all giants hail...
I doubt it. Mihawk probably beat some marines for the same reason he destroyed Don Krieg's fleet, then he became a wanted man. Sometime after that, he probably defeated a former admiral (Zephyr? It's known that he had his arm cut by a warlord, but would make more sense if he was a swordsman though).
I'm not sure about that. Otherwise, all the marines would need to do is wait until Big Mom gets out of her territory and then send an admiral there. That's why him and Augur got Pudding (and possibly the Road Poneglyph) and bailed out quickly, with as little conflict as possible.
I personally think it was Kizaru, per what people already said here. Caribou is also a good guess, but I doubt that he would risk himself so much in the middle of such battle, specially after all the treatment he received from the strawhats recently.
Vice admirals are historically cannon fodder in One Piece, so I never expected much from most of them. However, I still think that a few of them may still have something to do in the arc (Doberman and Doll specifically gained some spotlight recently).
I don't think he was up there with Roger and Whitebeard. In militarity might, he was probably the strongest, but he has no individual feats to stay with the top guns. Sengoku even puts him in the same shelf as Captain John, which is somewhat disappointing IMO.
IMO, it was due to his military...
Didn't one of the databooks mention that Shanks' missing arm didn't affect his strength at all? Or was it just fake info?
Anyway, if the number of arms was so important, Mihawk would never be the strongest swordsman with just his mere two arms. Zoro proved the point very early in chapter #85...
Well, while I agree that BB is underrated by some people, he probably jumped Magellan with his entire crew (including ID level 6's escapees + Shiryu), and they had Shiryu's antidote. Magellan's wounds seem to be made by sword cuts... he's very underrated too.
