I don't think neither Blackbeard tricked Shanks nor Mihawk didn't scar Shanks, Blackbeard just managed to give Shanks his most clean scar. I do think that Blackbeard worked hard to give him the scar though (be it by cunning or by sheer effort).
The Best:
1. Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island;
2. One Piece Film: Z;
3. One Piece Film: Strong World.
Honorable mentions: Dead End Adventure, The Cursed Holy Sword, One Piece Film: Gold.
The Worst:
There are many bad movies, but Chopper's Kingdom on the Island of Strange Animals takes the...
I don't think so. S-Hawk just uses flying slashes with his legs because he has the Supa Supa no Mi powers... basically any part of his body can become a blade. The Rankyaku technique produces a flying slash from a "blunt object" (the leg in most cases).
Well, Kuma was probably enrolled with Vegapunk already (and Bonney already was halfway cured) when Law was famous enough. Besides, his "Surgeon of Death" epithet probably didn't help... :whitepress:
Vegapunk doesn't have much of a choice, it's either that or he dies (especially now that his laboratory/resources will probably get destroyed or seized and the WG + Judge/Caesar want his head). Morgans apparently doesn't bow to anyone, but I wonder if he'll be cornered someday and be forced to...
Breaking into ID isn't a great idea with Magellan there. While I think that Marco would be able to hold his own against him, ID (a claustrophobic, underwater place) is the perfect place for Magellan's abilities (and the worst place for someone as destructive as Whitebeard, if he had gone there)...
This scene is filler unfortunately. The Hitsugibune wasn't shown in detail so far (and was never shown in movement too, as far as I remember), but it doesn't seem to have a helm indeed. It could've a steering pole/lever though, like the Going Merry.
My hope is that the live-action team asked...
People here are using Aokiji and Ace as points of reference, but they can't be compared to Mihawk. In terms of navigation, it's pretty easy to propel/pedal yourself forward (considering their abilities), but Mihawk actually uses a sail boat. Not only he needs to constantly check the log/eternal...
Well, if Rayleigh can cross the Calm Belt swimming, why can't Mihawk sail the Grand Line on his coffin boat? The dangers (Sea Kings, pirates, etc.) really aren't a problem, but his navigation skills are at least above average though. Even if he usually takes the safest routes, the Grand Line is...
Wano's swordsmen never had the chance to develop with Kaido there. Oden, for example, would be in Kaido's age if he was alive and probably still in his prime. Momonosuke would've aged normally and probably would train to become the next great swordsman of Wano. Part of the Shimotsuki Family...
Katakuri is indeed overlooked by many, but he's still a force to reckoned with. The BM Remnants don't seem to be cohesive, but I think that most of them would unite under Katakuri's leadership (especially now that Perospero was mauled in Wano). If they join Cross Guild, they instantly become the...
That's a good question. He probably thought that the WSS was someone not from Wano. Rayleigh maybe?
Oden was still alive 20 years ago and Mihawk already had a name 24+ years ago (18~19 years old), before Roger's execution. He could've faced Oden a little bit older than Zoro is currently...
It has been hinted since Marineford that the CDs will fall hard at the final war, but I don't think they'll be brutally annihilated. Villains in One Piece, especially the worst ones, usually don't get 10% of the suffering they caused. The only ones who faced dire consequences were Kaido, Big Mom...
Blackbeard is one of the few textbook definitions of pirate in One Piece. He's ambitious, he's unscrupulous, he's capable of stabbing his own crewmates, including his captain, to accomplish his goals, he's strategic when it comes to conflicts (with no fear of being seen as a coward), etc. I...
I do think so. There are still many question marks in One Piece (a few of them could be the same thing):
- The Man with the Burn Scar;
- The rest of the Roger Pirates (Gaban especially);
- Elbaf;
- God Valley, Rocks and the possible remnants of his crew (e.g.: Shiki);
- Imu, the Gorosei, the...
I don't think he's Bonney's father for the same reason of Garling: they despise "humans" (lowborns) too much. She may have the blood of the Jaygarcia (or Figarland) Family though, but I really doubt it, so far he hasn't shown any connections with her besides his indirect link through Kuma and...
