I went ahead and made a late vote for the Luffy fan base. Though I might be a bit biased sine I am one of them, but I don't recall endless power scaling debates over the guy, so it's all good.
If One Piece goes through any more breaks I'm going to cry that's for sure. :josad:
My guess is Kanjuro or someone from the Scabbards dies. I don't think one or two chapters is enough to get into heavy flashback territory for Yamato, but I could be wrong.
Ace... just Ace. He barely had a presence in the story until Marineford, and yet Oda treats him like he was the best One Piece character and won't let the guy go. He even went as far as making Sabo his clone which sucks. And now Wano has got more Ace backstory stuff, just meh. I hope this is the...
As a previous poster pointed out to me way back in this thread, Oda changed Trafalgar Law's name to Trafalgar D. Water Law to fit the WX pattern. Since the D. initial is his middle name then "Water Law" becomes his first name. It's a weird way to go about it, but it doesn't bother me...
My heart wants to say no, but my brain keeps reminding me this is One Piece. I really don't want Yamato to to be a damsel. She doesn't look the part to be honest.
Yamato is definitely connected to the bigger picture overall. She might even have some secrets to One Piece in that journal. I think she's going to be a big asset to Luffy and Kinemon no matter what happens in the end. :owo:
Only if you like being down-voted for having an opinion. I don't so, no thanks. Why do some sites have a stupid down vote anyway, it's too easy for trolls to abuse.
Anyway it'll be interesting to see if Oda has any big backstory in store for Yamato. That's what makes or breaks a nakama...
Wow, Yamato's here and almost everyone is on the nakama bandwagon again. I don't blame them though. She has only been here two chapters and already better than cardboard carrot in the personality department. So props to her. If Oda wants her for nakama, I wouldn't have any qualms about it...
If a death isn't in a flashback or have specific indicators (like Oda claiming their dead or dfs being transfered), then it's up for debate. I think it's the one unfortunate aspect of the story because it affects rereads. The "death" loses it's impact if a character ends up not dying in the end...
Honestly the only battle that's for certain is Luffy vs Kaido. Anything else is up in the air. A Strawhat team-up against Kaido would be cool, but if Luffy solos, it still no big deal in the grand scheme of things.
I rather not think anyone would drop the series over a single match-up not...
Not sure if I was ever really disappointed with any of them, but I guess the nearest I got was with Kidd and Hawkins, but even then I could just rationalize it.
I think Kidd is supposed to be a dark mirror to Luffy in some ways. His losses stem from his recklessness, bad luck, and destructive...
Adventure and freedom are my favorite aspects of One Piece. I like the concept of exploring new islands with their unique themes. Whether they be jungles, mountains, deserts or cities, it's always a joy to see the world of OP unfold.
Technically, it could be any of the flying six, but seeing how Queen is operating with a strange sense of urgency, it makes me wonder. If X-Drake was suspected, Kaido would certainly have been informed already.
Never thought I'd see a chapter where Kidd is the sensible one of the three knuckleheads. Although it was for nothing since he gave up his cover in the end, but it was for a good cause. That'll teach Apoo not to be a double agent.
Speaking of which, I wonder if Queen has caught onto Draik's...
Fanbase-wise - Zoro
No need to mention why, I'm pretty sure many people have already.
Story-wise (to me) - Oden
A character that Oda hyped, and I seriously wished he hadn't since the flashback didn't quite match up to said hype.
I took a mini-hiatus due to the lack of one piece content. Been watching some old 90's anime namely Initial-D and Boys over Flowers. Initial-D is good stuff, but I struggled to watch Boys over Flowers. I guess I like cars and racing more than the heavy romance/ drama stuff. I still need to watch...
Finally got around to reading the chapter. A nice setup chapter, and I like the personalities of the flying six. A fun bunch to be sure. Kinemon and Kanjuro seem to be leading the charge with Kinemon's df being of great importance for going in unnoticed. And of course Queens there is to liven up...
Great topic showcasing the balance of powers! I agree it is a very tough balancing act that the MarineHQ and WG tries to maintain. That's why they are desperate to stop anyone from uncovering the void history or finding One Piece. It not about power levels, it's about losing trust and support...
