Mihawk is known for making empty threats. In his fight with Zoro, he told him to die in their final clash. So did Mihawk actually have killing intend? Obviously not. Obviously he didn't have killing intend against MF Luffy either. He just allowed himself to use a certain percentage of his power...

Yes, and the context also is, that for 20 years, no one could take Kaido's head and the Retainer's now try to achieve what Oden couldn't. In this context it would make sense for he Scabbards to fight the same Kaido from the past and not a powered up one.

@Sentinel yeah, it was obvious that Oden was guiding the Scabbards swords, they got a Ryou boost and united themselves for one all out attack. Giving Kaido some minor wounds. Kaido's advantage is that he is offensively as strong as the other Yonko while at the same time having much better...
