We need to see how he interacts with the SHs in a non-hostile setting before we can properly judge whether he fits in or not imo. He boosts the prestige of Luffy by a considerable amount due to his individual strength and notoriety which is nice.
Jinbe is a great character but definitely the most questionable addition to the SHs so far. Even Yamato makes more sense as a new member.
Yep, that you answer, but they have differently styles of Swordsmanship, one is fast and uses Ice, while other is more likely to be a power Swordsman with "Wind".

Like, i loved him and anytime he used to show up i'd be hyp as hell but i dont like him as SH, he doesnt belong to the crew, idk how to explain it but he doesnt look SH enough lol
I used to love him but im like " oh jinbei ok " now and nothing else
I just wish he'd gotten more fanfare and panel time in Wano. More interactions with the crew that establish his dynamic with them, and a solo battle that wasn't just a clunky exposition dump in disguise. His battle with Who's Who was so bad, I probably would've preferred Jinbe vs. Jack even if it's not "accurate to powerscaling"
I don't like his fans, as for his character, he's not bad he doesn't take up a lot of screentime, no straw hat needs to be humiliated just to make him look good. I wouldn't go as far to say that I like him, but he's tolerable
