I agree that is smaller than Oden's since Oden made 2 cuts and fought a weaker Kaido not even in hybrid form(animal form the shittiest one).
Yes wer are disappointed because makes no fucking sense he not even knocking down by a scar but getting knocked down by Scabbards not even re-opening Oden's scar. But that is Oda's inconsistency.

That's merely because Zoro had to save the day by tackling Hakai originally and was left almost strenghtless.
Regardless he is even stronger than before, so if he tried attacking Kaido again in Asura that scar would turn out to be something much deeper and perhaps even larger, and I mean just look at the impression Meme had on Zoro at the rooftop.
