From your list: OP, Dragon Ball, JJK, HxH, DN, YYH, Slam Dunk and JoJo.

Can't really call any of them "The Best". Love completely different aspects of each series so there's not much shared ground for 1:1 comparisons.

What do you guys think are the best shonens?

Consider these following things:

Art, worldbuilding, fights, character development, story arcs, consistent quality, general story & plot development etc

If u have any suggestions for mangas I should include in the poll, please give them. I tried to include a mix of some old and newer mangas.

Add Tower of God or I'm not voting.

AoT, Death Note for plot/story-telling

OP and HxH for adventure/world-building

Naruto for sentimentality

JJK for overall quality

I plan to watch/read FMA, JoJo, Bleach and Slam Dunk soon tho

HxH is unrealized potential in my opinion, whereas YYH shows what the author could have done if the former had come first :smoothy:
I don’t know. It’s true that the man could have given more time and effort if it came first and finished it but I think after YYH he gained a hell lot of experience. HxH was just the next better step.

Fair, but then the step after that was a major stumble…I was thoroughly turned off by the fact that half of the later chapters are chock full of panels containing nothing but words or the lowest effort drawings ever published. I understand he’s had persistent health issues the last few years, but why put out such poor quality work at all??
