I don't think this sbs stuff from 20 years ago is still valid.
It's valid but it is in favor of CoA specialists.
CoC is a fixed buff, cannot be directly trained to be stronger.
The reason why Zoro will be the strongest in the world is because of CoA, not CoC.

Also, the SBS stuff only tells us about haki affinity for those 3 characters.
The type of haki they are naturally drawn to.
It also matches the first type of haki those 3 have shown for the first time.

Yep, that's why this is not a powerscaling thread. You can still train those other Hakis.

But your natural affinity does reveal stuff about your personality. CoC specialists are the ones who are kings/leaders, and CoA specialists are more obsessed with individual strength.

There is no coc specialist. Only handful of strongest have acoc and even among them the distinguishing factor is whether one has sky split level acoc or not. Like yamato having acoc but not on the level of sky splitters.

Roger and garp's peak attack was plain acoc coating for example.

Shanks is no different for now. All top tiers who have acoc have sky split level of it.

Imu and joyboy are god tiers so they are exceptions.
Oden , Rayleigh , Gaban dont have sky split feats . Do you think their Acoc haki is inferior to those who have sky split feats ?

And Luffy is Zoro’s boss because he’s the “true ruler” CoC specialist, right? His power level is determined by his CoC
In terms of how Oda set up the story obviously CoC specialists like Luffy and BB will be the strongest.

But that doesn't mean every CoC specialist > every CoA specialist. In the Warlords, clearly Doffy and Boa are CoC specialists, but Mihawk is stronger than them.

I was humoring you at first when you randomly assigned Mihawk but now you’re doing it to BB, you think Oda is going to actually go out of his way and assign “CoC” specialist to all his special little boys?

Or are we readers simply supposed to assume BB is a CoC specialist because of your vague analysis of “Personalities”?
Why are you putting "personality" in quotes? Haki affinity is literally linked to that. Even sub-sections of Haki like CoO, is linked to personality

I've seen a lot of people argue that X character shouldn't have CoC because they don't have the quailities of a king/leader, etc.

But I think there is a difference between CoC specialists and people who simply unlock CoC

This is the difference between Shanks and Mihawk. Shanks is like Luffy a CoC specialist, while Mihawk is like Zoro a CoA specialist. They will unlock CoC, but it's not their bread and butter.

I know Oda introduced it as just CoC users point blank, but explaining the nuts and bolts would ruin the drama.

In general

CoC user = Highly amibitious person

CoC specialist = King/Leader

PK = King of Kings

So CoC is simply the mark of an ambitious person, and CoC specialists are the true kings and leaders.
I don't think it has anything do to with being a '' CoC Specialist ''..

It's just their affinity, or like Rayleigh said the color they're best at..

You don't necessarily need the qualities of King or be a leader to unlock Conqueror, it's dependent on the inner character's level, his greatness scale..

It's not really apparent with Sanji, but i think he has demonstrated potential with 2 instances, when he saved Usopp on the Ark Maxim and when he came to Tashigi's help in Punk Hazard, you can see the glimpse.. As ridiculous as it may be, the power of love might very well be the way to how Sanji will unlock CoC, since Zoro unlocked his in a different path than Luffy did..

What in god’s name is this page got to do with anything you’re talking about?

Rayleigh is asking Luffy what he’ll do if he comes across a future sight user and Luffy is saying it depends on the future sight user’s personality

This flashback is explaining why Luffy didn’t run away from Katakuri. Because of Katakuri’s personality he realized he should fight him.

What the fuck does any of the above conversation or panels have anything to do with your “haki personality assignment shit”

this isn’t hunter x hunter, literally nothing you’re saying is actually canon in the manga

If you actually spent more than 2 seconds thinking about you read, you'd figure out what it was. Luffy takes personality into account when fighting because like Rayleigh says he's more in tune with people's "emotions". Rayleigh clearly is not on the same wavelength as Luffy, that's why he's surprised.

These aren't random disjointed statements. The entire page is Oda showing how Luffy's character is reflected in his combat from Haki to fighting style and approach.

The same goes for Katakuri.

I’m gonna ask again, what the hell does this have to do with “CoC specialists are the true rulers”

Are you saying Luffy considering Katakuri’s personality is a “CoC specialist ability”. And it’s not just Luffy having the same high emotional intelligence we always see?

Are you implying your other “CoC specialists” also have high emotional intelligence? You think Blackbeard has high emotional intelligence?

Kings and leaders are not 1 dimensional. They have more traits than just kingly abilities. Doffy has kingly ambition, just like Luffy has kingly ambition. That is reflected in their CoC clash and flashback. They have that in common.

What separates them is the kind of leaders they are. Luffy is a kinder type of leader, because he's more in tune with people's emotions. That is reflected in his CoO ability as Rayleigh said. Doffy is a tyrant king on the other hand.

Again, not sure what is hard to understand or controversial about people's character being reflected in Haki, when Haki is literally the physical manifestation of your will. Sanji for example is more sensitive so he's an Observation specialist.

So it’s Luffy who has the high emotional intelligence, it’s not “a CoC specialist” thing

so what hell are you even talking about?
