"Luffys fruit changing doesn’t make sense."
to the best of my knowledge kaido is the first person to point out he isnt rubber.... great foreshadowing that .
"I hear a ton of complaints about Luffys power ups being ass pulls. "
only pu he got this arc that feels like an asspull is the one he seemingly got this chapter tbh
"Now Zoro fans are saying Luffy is becoming Joyboy and it’s not his own haki that he’s using."
obv luffy is just boyjoy
any zoro fan who wants zoro to be some ryuuma respawn is def a hypocrite and you will find a lot push this for their zkk parallel. i would hope thats not the case before another character i have followed for a while is in my opinion ruined.
across the board from the convenient drug given to allow zoro fight king while it hasn't even been hinted as an option to other fighters
to the bs that just happened because luffy is the supposed messiah in this story
i am slowly realizing i need to detach myself from the way i read/discuss this story.
Tbh i'll dislike it if Joy Boy is some all-powerful guy and he will possess Luffy's body to beat Kaidou. It will betray Luffy's own struggle, his own promise to surpass Kaidou. I'll be distasted as well if Joy Boy lends his power temporarily to Luffy instead of Luffy inventing his own power to beat Kaidou. Luffy is his own man especially in combat, thats what i feel from his statement about freedom.
But if, Luffy does literally becomes Joy Boy (somehow) instead of being possessed, i'm still gonna have mixed feelings about it. Oda should explain the power structure of this stuff imo, how does it work? Do you need to check some of the boxes to be Joy Boy, so that Luffy's effort still plays part in his crowning? Is it genetic stuff, so Luffy's an ultimate chosen one all along? Is it related to the rubber DF? Why must Luffy get the chosen one DF then? Is his destiny comes without effort? Is Luffy's DF destined to be the most powerful DF ever that will nullify or retcon any of the fairness and effort Luffy did all this time to surpass Kaidou by his own?
Or is it related to CoC, so anyone having CoC can be Joy Boy if they meet requirement? Or anyone having CoC can MEET Joy Boy if they meet some requirement? If it's the case, what is CoC's nature in the first place? Is it lineage? Chosen by birth like Garp said? Blessed by the heavens like Trebol said? Or just merely the will to stand above others like Hancock said? Why are the statements are so damn contradictive to each other if it's gonna be the key to Joy Boy powers?

Thats my actual question instead of Zorofandom. While about that certain fanatic and cultist side of Zoro fandom, well, i dont set much expectation since they trash others and do double standards all the time.
In my personal case, "Oden's haki" perception stuff came from BM and Kaidou saying about "not an ordinary sword" and "Oden's presence inside the sword". Since the two didnt make the statement clear, it's natural to divide the fandom's view. We need Zoro's definitive statement for what Enma really function as, and we've got it in his battle vs King, that it uses Zoro's haki more than intended, so that Zoro must go all-out (awaken his CoC infusion) and channel it to Enma ("my sword is gonna kill me").
But it's different for Luffy's case. Zunisha specifically said Joy Boy is back after Luffy's death, not before while Luffy was in Zou. So that being said, Luffy's struggle against Kaidou until 1043 is literally his own struggle. But from this point on? I'm questioning myself whether i must prepare for some Naruto stuff where Luffy will have unlimited chakra/haki due to Kurama/Joy Boy backing him up...or even worse, complete possession by Joy Boy from the past who's gonna defeat Kaidou instead of Luffy himself, betraying the whole narrative of Luffy surpassing the strongest to be PK.
