Neymar has never shined as brightly as he did in the so called Messi shadow it's this toxic mindset he had to get get out of Messi shadow that lead to downfall of his career. Barca was the absolute perfect club for him his style of play for me i don't doubt it for one second he would have eventually won the balon dor even with Messi there had he stayed.
La remontada was the last nail in the coffin for Neymar.
He was amazing in that game. He was responsible that Barca managed to knock PSG and everyone praised Messi the day after the match.

I never liked Neymar's character but i can understand him.
Messi was Batman and he was the Robin in Barca, if we add Suarez someone could say that Ney was the Batgirl.

Neymar could have discussed that internally with the club there was no need to make such drastic decision that would greatly impact his entire career. I think his own family played role in that decision sadly trying to push him out of the club. The whole situation is tragedy :josad:

Neymar has never reached 40 goals in a season ( correct me if im wrong )
He was never CLOSE to messi in terms of scoring. Prime neymar scoring ~ 36 y/o messi ( current )

More importantly he was never as durable as messi
I mean that's what I said. He wasn't durable anymore. Neymar appeared in less than half of his team's games for PSG than when he was at Barcelona.

It's just in terms of his rates when he was able to play that he was matching with Messi. His goals+assists were the closest to Messi than anyone else and he's also Brazil's all-time top goalscorer. There's a reason he was considered the 3rd best player in the world in the last 10 years.

Btw, even though he should've never left Barcelona for his own, I'm glad he did because Barca bought Coutinho after and shit happened to go super well for another team in the last few years lol.

Injuries as well as laziness . He could hqve been great player dude loves money over game.

Al hilal moves was an end to this journey.

Frankly i think he would one day regret he has not dedicated too much like messi did.

Messi is better at every aspect except speed and penalties. It is easy to check.
However, I'd pick Ronaldo over Messi. He has some crazy motivation and fire inside him while Messi is just meh.

And once again I am reminded that human beings really do see things quite differently from eachother 😅.

For me Ronaldo is robotic to watch, has no grace on the ball and is purely a waste without goals.

The stepover spams don't help either as I just cringe at how many times he's gotta fail before getting that one lucky dribble.

Messi however has got the greatest grace on the ball and his moments are fluid, solid and so damn swift.

All in all he's just the biggest ball of joy to see and watch.

It's even more obvious when you watch them perform for their national teams, it's like day and night there.
