Speculations Did Oda actually forget about Kong?

This man has not made even a single cameo post-TS, and he only briefly appeared for a few panels pre-TS. No one even references him or the position of Commander-in-Chief. Did Oda forget about this guy? Why is he so unimportant despite having more authority than Sakazuki? Why did he do nothing during the Reverie?

Cause Kong is the actual final villain

Maybe Oda changed idea on how to develop the plot of the story after Marineford and simply erased him without notice. The problem is that now the WG/navy is already filled to the brim with relevant/strong figures now that we know the gorosei are also warriors and at the same time Oda added these holy knight that shouldn't be pushovers either.

A lot of people don’t know who Kong is, and I don’t think he’s meant to be anything special besides a story filler. He might do something near EoS, but I wouldn’t count on it.

I even had to search him up on the One Piece wiki to remember who he was. I remember those two Baroque Works animals more than him. :josad:
