Just because they aren't enough doesn't mean having Meme backstab Kaido and be the main contribute for his defeat would be a better scenario. Oden said: "the powerhouses who would bring Kaido down are going to muscle their way into the New World", this clearly foreshadows the Worst Generation defeating Kaido. So a more realistic scenario would be having an external power interfere mid-fight to stall Meme while the Worst Generation gang up on Kaido.

Regarding the solution to Kaidou, imo Oda has given him two of them.
FS allows him to counter any physical means of the enemy's attack.
Luffy's level of Barrier Armament Haki alone - something only Luffy has attained among the alliance - is already so powerful to give that kind of impact to Kaidou and BM.
If he unleashes the Rubber Awakening and using Internal Destruction in G4 form, all hell will break loose and with that Luffy will almost be Kaidou's equal.
I will even say that while Kaidou's durability will still be superior to that of Luffy's, that durability will be reduced by the role of Law, Zoro and Kidd. They are here to give Luffy the plot-restricted dramatic underdog role as usual. But Oda gave G4's side effect in Dressrosa and later retconned it in SBS and state that Luffy will find way to win even without Gats and the whole warriors helping him etc, so i reckon Oda will do this again in Wano arc climax, to give false significant disparity in strength between current Luffy and Kaidou as usual.
After all the help Luffy can get, Kaidou's durability will decrease and Luffy will catch up to him in that departement. And after that still, Luffy will enter the ultimate state of G5/Awakening fusion, which have a physical attack power manifestation surpassing that of even Prime Garp and Kaidou. This is Oda's final gift that Luffy will use, to be the one and only in the world who decisively surpasses WSC in offensive power.

Luffy will have Awakening and Gear 5 coming up soon. His FS and Advanced Ryou will deal good amount of damage but it's not gonna be enough. And 5 Supernovas against two Yonko is too little. They need a lot of strong fighters just to take down ONE Yonko let alone two.
