Powers & Abilities Do Black Blades Require Conqueror Haki?

#42
Did mihawk say this?

Zoro certainly has no idea how to do it yet your think Mihawk was training him to do this?
Yes it's literally stated on panel.

He didn't teach him to forge one but he gave him the basic tool required to be on the right track. Same way Rayleigh taught Luffy about haki but couldn't teach him FS and all since that's gained through combat. They simply helped with the basics.

According to this flashback Zoro did it already

the thing Mihawk wants Zoro to learn, Zoro learned it

this isn’t like Rayleigh and Luffy because Rayleigh straight up tells Luffy that he has failed to learn FS

Mihawk tells Zoro he can’t have booze if he doesn’t turn his sword black. And then Zoro does it

Bro are you only reading the bottom panel or have you skipped the top panel? Mihawk talks about haki helping Zoro’s swords become more durable. And eventually it can be turned into a black blade eventually. The feat Zoro mastered is getting basic CoA Infusion. Mihawk still says that his weapon can be turned into a black blade but you need Coa for that and mihawk is simply putting him on the right path

You are adding the word “eventually” to this scenario that doesn’t exist

I’ve been discussing this for 10 years now. I’ve been through the semantics of language here like 100 times now

there is no indication that Zoro has failed to do what Mihawk wanted him to do.

back in 2014 when this was being discussed the assumption was that we readers are missing a scene from this flashback.

As in people were wondering why this scene exists where Mihawk tells Zoro to turn his blade black and it’s just CoA yet Zoro doesn’t have black blades. What we thought at the time is that we are going to get another scene following this Mihawk scene that actually explains that CoA isn’t what Mihawk meant and that there’s some specific thing Mihawk told Zoro offscreen

this was the assumption for years after this scene, and then Oda in Wano said there is no further explanation

Here Oda reveals that Zoro HAS NO FUCKING IDEA how to “FORGE” black blades. He literally doesn’t even understand why the word “FORGE” is being used in relation to making black blades

So actually Mihawk didn’t tell him a single thing about making an actual Black blade since clearly Several years after that scene, Oda reveals that Zoro has no idea how they are FORGED

Zolo is a CoA specialist. Mihawk is CoA specialist as well.

While Roger, Shanks, Xebec are CoC specialists. They are above that swordsman concept, their mastery is ''CoC Haki'' which is superior to Zolo's and Mihawk's Haki.
Lerkan back with his retarded takes. Glad to see that no amount of time will cure your stupidity

Mihawk didn't teach Zoro how to forge one or anything lol. Never disputed that. I merely stated that Mihawk is talking about two different things here, CoA infusion and black blades. Mihawk's goal for Zoro is to complete CoA infusion in which Zoro succeeded. Mihawk also said that every blade can be turned into a black blade like his. There's no reason for Mihawk to mention his instead of any other CoA infused blade because Mihawk is clearly talking about his special black blade here. Zoro not knowing how to forge one doesn't mean much since all Mihawk said is every blade can be turned into one but didn't tell anything about the methodology behind it. Except that you need basic CoA infusion to be on the right track for it. But that doesn't mean Zoro isn't curious about what goes behind making one. He must have definitely questioned Mihawk about it. You can see the hint in the own page you posted:

Zoro clearly has an inner monologue wondering about something and is asking about another thing which may be related to forming black blades. The other dude already mentioned about forging it through combat but Zoro still has lingering doubts before being interrupted so it's heavily implied that there's more to it and Zoro alr has theories. So he may have asked Mihawk who refused to answer leaving Zoro to wonder how to forge one for himself.

Even if Aramaki has one, that does not mean that he made it.
My favourite cope. There is a secret black blade holder in history no one knows about but Aramaki happens to stumble upon it. Utter retardism.

Also what happened to the concept of sword wills? The fact Aramaki has a will strong enough to bend a black blade to his will as a Woodsman is a testament to his strength. Lol

Again our theories from 2014 were that there is a missing scene in that flashback since this flashback didn’t make sense even back then

and then when this Wano chapter came out it became clear that there is no missing scene. Zoro simply doesn’t know how black blades are forged

therefore the Dressrosa flashback can more or less be discounted. We simply do not know how Black blades are forged by the mere fact that Zoro himself doesn’t know and he’s the one that is in that flashback with mihawk

"Bend a black blade to his will as a Woodsman is a testament to his strength. Lol"

Is this what Zoro did to Shusui in Thriller bark, bended it to his will as soon as he got it?
