In short the hype is about that Shiryu knows how to handle Imu's demonic powers in Impel Down so he resisted it by using conqueror haki and wasn't controlled by government and needed to be locked down.

When you think about DFless Shiryu being as powerful as Magellan, and then showing the ability to mortally wound ''Iron'' Garp with a random stab, it makes sense that Shiryu has CoC.

No because he is Sanji opponent and the trigger to unlock Sanji's ACoC

肝に銘じろ is a common Japanese phrase that is used to sternly tell someone to "keep something in mind"
In the same vein 肝に銘じておく is a way to say that you will keep something in mind and not forget
. For instance if I fuck up on something I could use that phrase to apologize when I get told off to strongly say that I will never do it again.

Not sure why it's being tied to Imu 💀

They are just both swordsmen. Shiryuu can go invisible like Sanji. Parallel too. Sanji was the #2 of Baratie like Shiryuu was #2 of Impel Down. More parallel than Zoro. They will start the fight both without CoC. Another parallel.

But the main thing is that would be nice for Sanji to proof himself against a swordsmen giving his rivalry with Zoro similar to that movie focused on Chopper where Zoro faced a guy with heavy kicks.

No I mean they are genuine parallels. They were introduced in the exact same way.

On topic, imo it's very unlikely that Shiryu has CoC. Personally don't think he has it given his underhanded personality (though I could be wrong) but even before that there is a strong emphasis on Devil Fruits with the Blackbeard Pirates so I'd except there do be a strong emphasis on that rather than Haki.

Again Haki is just one way to reach the top & Teach & his boys overcoming the child of destiny Haki boy in Shanks I think will be proof of that.

Crew that will end up with both a great balance of Haki & other abilities will be the SHs imo and we already seeing this with Luffy

If he's going to be a relevant opponent for Zoro then he'll 100% have it. Its time to get comfortable with the idea of Conqueror's haki becoming more "common". We're at the stage of the story now where every powerful enemy and ally will most likely utilize it because they have to in order to be combat relevant. More characters gaining access to it isn't bad writing either because compared to the hundreds upon hundreds of characters in the series, there will still be relatively few users of the ability. From our perspective, we're just focusing on the very few characters at the pinnacle of the world.
