Le Fishe Thread Doesn’t this interview make Zoro and Admiral fans question whether you got it all wrong?

Funnily the character that you claim got « two shotted by accident » was stated to be able to end the serialization within a year due too being too powerful by Oda. But I guess this doesn’t count?:myman:
Big Mom would end the series probably in a month if she was MC. That gives you all kinds of perks and plot armour

Akainu got two-shotted, but people really should add the qualifier by accident
You mean Luffy, Zoro and Nami?

Before he designed the rest of the supporting cast like Usopp or Sanji.
Zoro isn’t the MC, otherwise he would’ve made Mihawk a Yonko and the story would’ve been more swordsmanship based. Mihawk is only a warlord

Oda was content to make a character that is competing with Zoro all the time in terms of who is stronger, instead of just having there be a partnership between Zoro and Luffy. Thé intention is undoubtedly to underscore that Zoro has no place competing with Luffy, so he creates Sanji for him.

Sanji was literally created to separate Zoro from Luffy. Sanji is gonna be Zoro’s nemesis even after he defeats Mihawk.

This reminds me of when sword folk shat on Sanji by claiming that because discarded draft design Nami wielded a big arse axe then this made her the Gaban (2nd mate, left hand person) equivalent within the Straw Hats which somehow degraded Sanji's power level standing within the Straw Hats or something along those lines.

Point is, nobody should care about the early draft since Oda has obviously greatly deviated from it. Anybody that argues in favour about the early draft being relevant to the story is either a disingenuous troll or a full on retard.

Imagine thinking Oda has worked out a series about overcoming Yonko , then you guys come along and say “admirals > Yonko”

It’s very likely a failed avenue to go by, say what you want about early designs , the theme ought to remain solid and unchanged to this day

The Yonko are supposedly still the main theme which is why the protagonist has spent far more time in this manga fighting the World Government and it's subordinates than anybody else? Lol.

?

Far more time has been spent on fighting various pirates and warlords than marines or WG forces.

There might be a final War where WG and marines get defeated, Akainu will be getting Blueno treatment, but it will always be pirate-focused end villain and theme, not a “Larine-focused” end villain and theme

The Warlords are subordinates of the World Government. It has literally been one of the main emphasizing points as to the hypocrisy of the Marines that they work for an organisation (the World Government) that gives diplomatic immunity to known degenerates like Doffy and Moria while claiming to fight for justice.

Yea but you don’t go around thinking Crocodile is a “WG subordinate” when he is acting in the capacity more as pirate than being anything close to loyal to WG, when in fact he was the opposite, same as Doffy

If what the strawhats were fighting didn’t break allegiance with the WG then what you say would’ve been true

Only case where that holds true might be Moriah (I don’t remember if he wanted to go against WG like Doffy and Croc). So perhaps only Moriah then but if memory serves right he wanted to be PK again , so not even Moriah

For the absolute majority of the time with Warlords the theme is always pirate-based. Oda explores these characters from the vantage point of piracy, not from the vantage point of them being WG forces

Bruh, who does a pirate have to negotiate with when they want a Warlord seat? The World Government.

Who summons Warlords to meetings? The World Government.

How are the Warlords able to amass the power they do? Cause they are protected by the World Government.

Who gets slandered as government dogs by regular pirates in the verse? The Warlords.

The Warlords are based on privateers of the past. Who employed privateers? Governments.

The Warlords exist to emphasise the hypocrisy of the Marines and the World Government. When the Warlords regularly harm common people, the WG doesn't give a shit and is happy to keep them as subordinates. Only when various Warlords negatively affected WG interests did the WG finally deal with them.

Yes, those are facts but what I’m saying is, Oda isn’t delving too deeply into those WG dynamics even so as to make it “WG-focused” as much as it is based around the warlord characters themselves. This is a story about different pirates, different motivations and plots driving pirates

Oda likes pirates, get it?

You think the warlords exist to reinforce the importance of the WG, when in reality all Oda is saying he thought they are a “cool” addition , as in he wants to make pirates based on historical privateers as a cool idea

Get it? Cool pirate addition , not so as to highlight the importance of Larines and your favourite Akainu that got two-shotted by accident :gokulaugh:

Only marine that’s gonna matter for the story is gonna be Smoker as he is the Garp of the marines

That’s it

So you forgot about this huh

@ConquistadoR See? They didn't even read One Piece. Its full Agenda :gokulaugh:
just like that youtuber JaytheLegend, he didn't care about the story, he knows exactly the story is, but he didn't care, he only cares about the agenda:suresure:
Sounds about right. For his personal agenda, he once attempted to dunk on Shanks and Doffy by claiming Oda "copied" their designs from Fairy Tail. Dumb arse didn't bother to check the starting dates on either manga series.
