First i didn't like the idea of luffy getting joyboy powers. But then i looked at it from a different angle. It is very possible that we will still have our goofy Luffy whos now trying to figure out his new form/ awakening. I like the idea that up until this point he never used the full potential of his fruit but made the best of it in a creative way and now needs to do the same again. In Oda i trust, we will see.
