Elden Ring

@Lee Ba Shou @TheKnightOfTheSea
New Miyazaki interview (from Ratatoskr on twitter - the translations are done with an AI so bare with it).

St. Trina will appear in the DLC and may not be Miquella (I personally got a Radagon/Marika duality vibe from this answer)

There is a lore reason why Radahn needs to be taken out before entering the DLC (kind of obvious ngl, I always assumed Malenia fought Radahn on behalf of Miquella and there's also a lot of enemies using gravity magic in the shadow lands)

Miyazaki gets asked about the DLC length

Yes I too am intrigued about having to defeat Latarn for the Eldenfalcon DLC

It is interesting that Radahn is the only demigod whose loyalty is outright unknown. The rest of them actually have clear motives.

I always thought Radahn was Golden Order and was an “enemy” to Ranni and Miquella who seemed to have a good relationship with each other. Maybe Radahn was even holding the stars still to help Marika keep the shadow lands hidden.

I’m pretty sure Miquella sending Malenia after Radahn (so that the stars could move for an “eclipse to enter a spirit world”) is literally cut content that was originally at castle sol.
1. Miquella wanted to enter the shadow lands.
2. Malenia serves Miquella.
3. Malenia fought Radahn.
4. Killing Radahn lets the player go to the shadow lands.

All together implies Miquella likely sent Malenia to fight Radahn so he could enter the shadow lands

So @Lee Ba Shou I would guess that Radahn is a golden order loyalist but probably wanted to be Elden lord himself hence why he fought Morgott. I assume a lot of the demigod motivations were selfish.

It also is telling imo that we know of communication between Ranni and Rykard to get destined death from Maliketh that didn’t include Radahn, which means his siblings probably didn’t trust him (as a golden order loyalist).

It is interesting that Malenia went straight for Radahn.

He definitely wanted to be Elden Lord, whether it was for his own glory or to continue the legacy of the Golden Order is not clear. He was definitely a GO loyalist before the shattering though.

Yeah I think him holding the stars to screw over Ranni is definitely something he did as her enemy. If he was Miquella’s enemy too then that would seem to solidify him as a Golden Order loyalist like Messmer but without the blasphemy lol.

I'm asking why?

The importance of Radahn to the main plot is that he's holding the stars back, and so, he's holding the destiny of the Carian royal family back.

So, what if St Trina is similar to a Carian princess?

We know alter egos can have completely separate lineages.

Marika was an Eternal and Radagon was a descendant of the fire giants.

So it's possible St Trina is related to Rennala or the Carian royal family.

And there is a pretty strong connection between Ranni and Miquella already too. Ranni knowing torrent's former master and even getting the spirit bell from him.

I’m pretty sure Miquella sending Malenia after Radahn (so that the stars could move for an “eclipse to enter a spirit world”) is literally cut content that was originally at castle sol.
Wasn't castle sol content just related to Godwyn?

Miquella was hoping for an eclipse to revive Godwyn or something.

And shadow realm seems to be not connected to the stars. It seems more like a dreamscape or a painting.

But maybe you're right. Maybe Radahn is gonna be way more important than what he was portrayed to be in base game.

We see a lot of gravity enemies in the trailer, like this knight riding a boar.

And Radahn's helmet has boar tusks.

So apart from Miyazaki saying there's a lore tie to Radahn, I thought even just based on the enemies shown you could expect a Radahn connection which is why I said it was obvious.

I'm asking why?

I don't think the Carians are the only things affected by the movement of the stars.

It would be kinda weird if astrology didn't affect anything else in Elden Ring.

He wanted an eclipse to enter "a shadow realm" to revive Godwyn.

An eclipse also requires the movement of the heavens.

This is all cut content though and it could be changed to be the shadow lands for a different purpose in the actual DLC.

The shadow lands are not a dream scape, they're a physical land that was originally partof the lands between but was separated and sealed off from them for an as of yet unknown reason (this is straight from the first Miyazaki interview about the DLC).

Yupp this game is dogshit, finding bosses and areas is the biggest challenge in the game
I ended up opening the map with cheat engine but to no use, I literally can’t find the Stormveil castle boss (or whatever is the continuation to the area). The giant bridge leading to a portal needs a key
I explored some caves but couldn’t find a major link point
What now @TheKnightOfTheSea @EmperorKinyagi @DarkestKnightofSpoilers

This is super funny to me I told you would get exploration diffed😂😂😂😂

Just explore and do whatever you want lol

Also Godrick is just at the end of Stormveil castle (although I’d explore the whole thing since there’s a hidden crucible knight and one other miniboss) it’s designed like a souls area:

You could just look this up to instead of using cheat engine or asking us to lol

I’m not gonna use it for something else, do not regret revealing the maps
Hmm I did explore the entire castle afaik, even linked it up with the mountainous path
