Future Events Final fight of the series

Imo:

1. Kizaru and a group of VAs fall at Egghead
2. Fullalead is potentially transitional with no direct villain but lots of expostition on Rocks at least. The Koby/Garp incident will play out. Maybe there is some BB related ally here that loses to Luffy idk. Maybe somehow its Rocks or a Rocks clone (considering all of the clone shit happening now).
3. A separate, unknown Elbaf villain at Elbaf (I think its the God Elbaf)
4. Kid concedes to Luffy at Lodestar
5. BB falls before the final war, but at Laugh Tale (i.e. the fight for Pirate King). It seems Oda is more directly doing BBs plot than anyone else at this time, so we'll see.
6. Akainu falls next at New Marineford, first part of the final war.
7. Im falls after at Mariejois, final part of thr final war
8*. Shanks/Mihawk fall last either at God
Valley or some other undisclosed location.

*Highly depends on Shanks' role. Im not dumb enough to put all my chips in that basket, but storyline wise, it can make sense from how hes being potrayed. We'll see.

And yes im aware that this is far too much to still cover in terms of factions. Im sure half of it wont turn out this way.

Shanks Vs Luffy
Mihawk Vs Zoro

would be the perfect ending
Idk i feel like luffy vs shanks being the final battle is kinda counterintuitive to what shanks gave up. With Shanks giving up his arm and betting on luffy becoming pirate king
I feel that after he becomes pirate king achieving something shanks can't along with beating blackbeard and imu i think it'd be obvious luffy surpassed him

Luffy and shanks reuniting is gonna be an amazing and emotional moment but at that point in the story i don't think its necessarily for shanks to fight him. Assuming he survives to the end of series...

Shanks didn't gave up anything for Luffy
Shanks dreams and goals are same before and after seeing Luffy
Shanks led him in to the right direction

Shanks gave up his arm, his hat, and not on purpose but also the gum nika fruit to luffy

He's the first person to bet on luffy surpassing him and becoming pirate king

BB dead.
Imu defeated.
Luffy as the Pirate King.
Whole world at peace.
Each SHs has reached their dream.
The manga has concluded.

In the epilogue, Zoro and Mihawk meet on a deserted island and challenge each other to the death. One cocky one-liner for either, then the fight and manga itself ends before anything serious can happen.

so Roger "gave up" something when he "gave" his hat to Shanks? or did he achieve everything he wanted?
passing on the straw hat has nothing to do with personal ambition

and I'm yet to see a strong evidence Shanks WANTED to be pirate king

The issue with this is we have zero idea what the primary motivation is, nor the outcome of it. This is still the same person who talks to Gorosei, has intent to attack Luffy's fleet, and even mentions hes going after One Piece himself, all while doing everything else you mention. Oda even played coy withe pirate Shanks mentioned. There is certainly a plot twist coming with the character as a result.

Oda had stated that Shanks has his own plans for the new era. That doesnt necessarily mean it aligns exactly with Luffy's

Honestly its crazy how crucial the next 2-3 arcs will be. Itll really paint a picture on who will be relevant and what storylines are actually left. Atm we can safely guess the crew is going to Fullalead (probably), Elbaf, Lodestar, Laugh Tale in the least, but we cant even tell who the villains would be for any of them, if any.

Oda trying to make a happy edding vs his editors telling him to kill Luffy so the ending is better.
