Apparently the birth scene split the fandom...
I mean, what did people expect ? Viserys wanted a male heir. If people don't understand this they have clearly no idea how much power can corrupt men. What shocked me was how Viserys didn't seem to know about the choice he'd have to make in last resort. He just learned about it in the mid of the birth. Such a naive king. It's also ridiculous how most people are unfamiliar with the medieval times and think that 1.000 year of history can be summed up to "muh dark age".
I also saw "reddit people" comparing House of the Dragon to the Handmaid's Tale. At first I hoped the series would never take that path, but then I found out about Rhaenyra's actress interviews who says stuff like her character doesn't like her gender and patriarchy everywhere and whatnot.
As for Daemon, I really like the acting. But it doesn't look like he is gonna succeed in getting the throne since it's thrown at our face this quickly.
Anyway, it feels like a certain someone is about to bang his daughter's best friend. That's great for conflict !
I kinda hope for Rhaenyra and Daemon to have babies, the succession conflict would be solved rather quickly. No blood shed. But this isn't this kind of show unfortunately...
