Dude, are you serious? Communism killed around 100 million people(high estimate). Multiple dictatorships and genocides. Communism is fucking brutal.

I saw a movie about portuguese priests being tortured and random civillians being killed for converting to christianity. I don't how accurate that was, but the japanese didn't fuck around back in the day.
There were plenty of Japanese who converted. It was more when Tokugawa Ieyasu got into power that things went real bad.

That is the current gov, bro. Brazil has great relationships with Israel. It's only that is going against the tradition right now.

I didn't even defend the communist regimes :suresure:

I just said tyranny is tyranny :josad:

What is your opinion about the Military Dictatorship in Brazil (1964-85) ?
We needed to fight the Communist Guerrilas and removed from the gov any politician that supported those. They military did it, but they stayed way too long in power. Anyway, the military regime was one of those periods of economy boom in Brazil thnx to the military administration. It wasn't all flowers and candy, but at least we developed a lot under their administration.

I've studied a lot of history. However, I was actually intrigued however by the life of William Adams, which lead me to knowing about the Portuguese exile from Japan.

I've researched Russian, Japanese, Korean, British, and Roman history primarily, with the latter three being my primary focus.

Due to a limit on resources
What limit of ressources ? Rich people own the ressources, if you don't have enough, take those from people who don't need them. It's very simple.

I think it is categorically unfair that ONE person would have to work for free effectively to provide for the basic needs of those who'd refuse to work.
Helping everyone doesn't mean that you will have to work for free, what is even this argument ?

That makes no sense.
Indeed, you make no sense.

You have too luxurious a way of viewing things.
No, simply human.

You on the other hand, refuses to take from thoses who have too much.

People do not deserve things simply because they are alive.
Yes they do, the basic need to survive. If you can't understand that, you are part of the problem.

Living is an effort
Yeah, living is not meant to be hard. Stop wanking on the rethoric of Billionaires who are saying that so you justify their exploitation on yourself.

those who have genuine issues that prevent them fending for themselves.
Which is who I'm talking about genius.

I think were most opinions differ is what exactly "basic need" is.
Basic need to survive and live correctly. It's not hard to understand.

The latter is luxury and you should contribute to society in order to earn it.
Do kids contribute to society ? Are kids productive ?
?

more than half of the world is pro hamas right now

depending on where you live in this world it can be seen as a good or bad thing
Oh ? Based on what data ?

Not recognizing Hamas as a terrorist organization doesn't mean being pro-hamas.

I do not recognize the Hamas as a terrorist organization but a resistant one and yes I'm not pro Hamas and I denounce their war crimes

Do you want to know how many people died because of capitalism ?

This is why we can't trust what we read online, this is bullshit:
"Adams and the other survivors were summoned to Ōsaka, where Tokugawa Ieyasu—soon to become the shogun (generalissimo) of Japan—interrogated mainly Adams about a variety of political, religious, and technological topics. Ieyasu was so impressed with Adams’s knowledge, especially of ships and shipbuilding, that he made the Englishman one of his confidants. A"

I believe there were individuals in Ieyasu's retinue who were able to translate for him - OR at least do a weird translate English to Portuguese to Japanese.

I think it’s possible for Hamas to be two things at once

to the Palestinians, they are seen as a resistance org

to the Israelis, they are seen as a terrorist org

I don’t think either perspective is inherently more valid than the other. Both are true. Hamas does engage in terrorism, but also they have a legitimate grievance with Israeli occupation.

Uncle Van

Bullets don't hurt. But Taxes do.
Why in US there is one month gap between declaring winner of elections and actually taking the office?

Transition doesn't take this much time and it's just weird to have a president to continue to be in charge for a month when people already elected a new one
Because they need time to effectively transition power and keep things as organized as possible.

You know... The Portugese were already in Japan for awhile and they had translators?

Its just weird to have soon to be former president to stay in office for one month when people already elected a new one

In many democratic countries, head of the government resigns within hours or days after losing the election

Yeah, but they use their own people as human shields. Seriously, fuck Hamas. Let's get rid of them for good.
