This is a politics SUBFORUM. Cope, seethe and mald, snowflake.
The like and post ratio does not only refer to the politics subforum though? And why should that be a criterium to judge people? Lastly, why would I seethe about something I never cared about and I wasn't even aware of?
You must get perma banned for breaking the forum labour laws :kata:
Yeah, they either have low cognitive abilities or they're grasping at straws to get me banned because we have conflicting political views.
I’m unsure if there really is a peaceful solution to any decades long conflict. Especially I/P. I can only assume there are solutions that are more peaceful and ones that are less peaceful.

I would say any endeavor that could create a path for positive future Arab/Israeli relations is probably one of the better ones.
Both religious groups don't have a very tolerant view of people outside of them and Israel has the whole Greater Israel thing going on, so it probably won't happen. Btw just read today of a civilian with autism and down syndrome who was killed by the IDF using dogs.

Lots of people were waiting to judge. Israel is very influential in the West.
Seems like they might do a bit of sway now. But seeing a live genocide makes me understand how literally every single genocides happened in history. This one is very special though. Entire world refused to boycott or disarm the nazionists. Soooooo many shills and allies to Netanyahu.

It makes you wonder how many government officials should be trialed at the international court for this. Starting by Bibi and his government to a bunch of other western governments. And now you understand why they're starting to denounce the genocide. They've been tolerating a genocide for years and hunting those who raised their voices against it.

Who runs those courts? And do they have real power? That is the question here. Laws only apply to those who can't get away with their actions.

International geopolitics is all about interests. NONE of those politicians actually feel shit about genocides. They'll express their deepest condolences towards their allies and turn away when it's other getting killed. Politicians are so full of shit and I assure you your own government would not bat an eye and personally kill you and your family if it somehow benefitted their business or/and propaganda interests.

Truth is that the major players have economic interest in the region.

I’ve always felt like international law was kinda bullshit.

Because the existence of an “international law” suggests there would be some sort of way to enforce said international law. But there isn’t so countries just do whatever they want.

Joe Biden said Putin was doing a genocide in Ukraine, but he supported what happened in Gaza.

I feel like the next 4 years will lead to the fall of European support for Israel.

Israel will cleanse Gaza and that will probably shatter any remaining goodwill that Europe has to the country. Especially since I do believe Muslims are a significant minority in quite a few European countries.

America will be different though. The rise of the far right in America has ruined America’s relationship with Europe and Canada. Trump is very pro Israel, persecuting anti Zionists and openly backing the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

I’m so pissed off about the Medicaid cuts…I work at a retirement home and we have a bunch of people on state assistance, they’re gonna suffer mightily as a result. What am I supposed to do? Kick out a 90 year old hospice patient and toss them into the street? Tell them to get a job? This isn’t going to prevent fraud (which itself is negligible compared to all the people who genuinely need help), I hate how the cruelty remains the point for every American politician :halt:

The darfur genocide has been going for on for decades now and as far as I know nobody has been to trial.

the international criminal courts don’t mean shit, I mean by some standards a lot of leaders are war criminals lol

Not that I support cutting medicaid

but aren’t those people on Medicare, not Medicaid?

my understanding:
Medicare = seniors
Medicaid = poor people

I’m not exactly sure where the disabled fall
