I would say I’m a socialist, my whole point of view is that everyone deserves equity in all things…so when I see legislation specifically designed to raise taxes on people like me while allowing corporations and the fat pigs who run them to make millions upon millions of dollars with no regulation, it gets under my skin quite a bit. Sorry to hear about your health issues, but the way you described what happens in your country applies equally to what happens in mine; people die on transplant lists and can’t be seen for other things due to overcrowding, but the difference is that they pay out the fucking nose because insurance companies are allowed to determine medical necessity and refuse to pay out on legitimate claims. I don’t believe that everyone should get everything for free, but I do think that healthcare is a human right and more energy/tax money should go towards improving these facilities rather than CEOs who gleefully profit off the death industry

Not necessarily related, but I wanna say that even as a socialist, I see the merit in capitalism as a concept; I don’t advocate for everyone to be lazy and not work, I just think that regular people should be paid wages commensurate to the ever-inflating cost of living and certain things like food and medicine should be affordable on anyone’s salary
