I see.
RyoQ was threadban last night. He won't answer you btw
Oh man
Alrighty then I will explain the issue here
@RyoQ , this is a gigantic issue that both republicans and democrats encourage to get worse
The issue of wage labour goes like this
People are spread into two camps, workers and owners of capital ( capitalists )
Capitalists own some capital, and the workers work with that capital, called the means of production, to produce value
Like for example I guess you could count stock, machinery used in production, etc, as capital
The issue is this:
The worker produces some value
Some of that value is used to pay the worker wages
The rest is taken as profit by the capitalist, why? Because the capitalist owns the means of production
Only because they own the means of production, even though they did no producing, no work, the capitalist gets a part of the value that the worker produces
The wealth of these billionares and millionares, what it is, is money that they got by owning capital, that workers produced with, and they, by virtue of just owning that capital, not by working, got part of that value, and it accumulated into their wealth
That is why profit is theft, and why capitalists act as economic parasites, leeching off of the work that workers produce, and gathering all the wealth, that regular people would have to share, if they would have owned the means of production themselves
The solution to this is abolishing capitalism, by having the workers own those means of production themselves
But I think it is very important to mention, there are mainly two types of socialists, state socialists ( Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Xi Jinping, etc ) and anarchists
State socialists want a strong state that they think represents the workers' interests, to manage the means of production, until it would eventually dissolve ( this was proven wrong decades before the russian revolution, in debates between the state socialists and the anarchists )
Anarchists want workers to have direct control of the means of production, like the workers of a company, themselves, get to vote and decide what to do and stuff
Anarchists actually have a pretty big history, with being the resistance in the Spanish Civil War, fighting in the russian civil war and being betrayed by the leninists, George Orwell, who wrote 1984, actually said that he wrote a lot of, or everything that he wrote, in support for democratic socialism, they did a lot of union organizing, etc
So socialism doesn't means having a strong state as a tyrant over you, it just means you are not exploited by a capitalist, and get to have a democratic workplace, and also benefit from the improvements made from overall not having a few people act as economic parasites and gather huge wealth from that, that can instead be used for everyone's shared benefit
And I really really recommend this video
