The hero worship is truly out of control…this guy never served in the military, never held office, never did anything but make money off of spewing hateful rhetoric, and he’s being treated like God’s gift to the nation? I know most conservatives fully went off the deep end during Obama’s first term, but this is a new level of delusion :nicagesmile:

While I disagree with the notion that more guns is the answer, at this point in America disarming the public would backfire tremendously. A gunless society is a beautiful concept but its too idealistic when there are so many bad actors. In a lot of cases, guns do indeed deter criminals but in some cases, that won't even stop deranged individuals who were willing to die from the start. Maybe having armed personnel in more places will protect more innocents more often but there will still be tragedies. Also doesn't that reflect rather poorly upon the state of a nation if your shopping centers and schools have to look like prisons?

Can you give examples of places with high gun ownership and low violent crime?

Your last take I can agree with but I don't think its a situation where we should be focusing on those things and not legislation. Both of these things should be prioritized. Ironically, leftist policies often try to push for things like accessible mental health care and rehab for everyone. Not saying these things are foreign concepts to the right but they approach these things with a more individualistic mindset rather than believing these things should be freely offered. If someone who is a victim of bullying, drug use, child abuse and loneliness is born into poverty and can't afford something like therapy or rehab then what are their options?

It's not that you are being manipulative or lack knowledge or doesn't understand.

It's the approach.

Your intent might be good but the execution of it is a mess.

It's your tone because the way you make a post, it comes across as imposition of your knowledge onto others.

You need to show more respect to what others have to say and what's their experiences are rather than always trying to correct them because when you repeatedly try to correct people, it becomes a pattern, and unknowingly or unintentionally, you come across as disrespectful and Know it all type of person with superiority complex.
