I'm among the ones who feel that Luffy hasnt used his internal destruction tho, since i' not convinced that he had even used it against Kaidou (no art depiction, no explicit comments about internal stuff etc), so i'll vouch for Luffy keeping that internal CoA hidden until he shows a new form that utilizes internal AdvCoA+AdvCoC just like how he utilized his FS to the max when he first displayed Snakeman.

All in all we dont have to doubt Luffy's powerlevel anymore, it's his emotional depth and behavior that need a major fix lol we cant have Luffy being a brat who screams PK all the time against the WSC, its the decisive chance for Oda to portray Luffy as mature, responsible, emotionally-developed enough to shoulder those power lol
If onigashima falls from the sky it will explode, but i dont think thats what kaido wants, else it would destroy Onigashima in the process making his dream capital project impossible.

But Luffy got a large proportion of that damage/stamina drain while or before learning adv CoC, he wouldn't have been knocked out if he had a better blocking method than the CoA crossblock which failed and opened him up to the Ragnarok (which he gained when he got adv CoC), he wouldn't have fainted if he had a less clumsy control of adv CoC (which he now has).
The majority of Kaido's damage/stamina drain has been at the hands of Luffy anyway, Luffy's techniques have been doing the most internal damage. Zoro got two effective strikes in that Kaido mostly instantly recovered from, Yamato got a few effective hits in, but neither have been doing deep internal damage which is what is required to take Kaido down. The other scabbards/SNs did basically nothing to Kaido.

We need some kind of imminent danger which is about to happen in order to build tension (see Alabasta bomb, Doffy's plotcage and so on), let's make Kaido drop his base on the top of the capital of the country he controls.
A battle with overwhelming odds and no real chance to win. Oda puts in a girl who make enemy captains and below ready to die for her after eating a japanese biscuit.

It's not like it's haki related so can we really call it a nerf? How exactly does it affect him in battle if it's just a part of his devil fruit power?
Does it make his hybrid weaker? Does it make his swings less effective?
I don't think anybody has actually asked these questions. Or made a logical conclusion as to why it would be considered a nerf.

kaido was retarded from the start, allowing himself to suffer a lot of unnecessary damage from far weaker opponents than him, instead of going full aggro, but oda thinks it's a good idea to just make him stand still while his opponents rain down everything they've got on him.

him carrying it is the nerf. everyone is taking what yamato said at face value and forgetting shes a retarded person. kaido has been fighting nerfed and distracted this entire time, and the second he drops the island and focuses 100% on the fight its another powerup for kaido

kaido is the strongest creature in the world, a mythical beast with the highest defense and regen in the series. yes, he can regen whatever he wants. he was healing from the scabbards cuts by the next chapter, sometimes by the next panel

Didn't Kaido undergo that massive damage before the recent chapters? You think he would regen all the damage so quickly?
