Seems like a stretch, so far Kizaru's beams have been used pretty much exclusively for damage.

Plus cauterizing a gaping hole that big wouldn't really work, you'd be burning too much flesh and causing more internal damage, otherwise Akainu would have basically cauterized Ace's wound right away lol

It's very likely that the Blackbeard Pirates want to use Garp as a bartering chip to get something from the world government. Even ignoring Kuzan and Garp's close relationship, it would make sense for Kuzan to try to save Garp from bleeding out

I was half-joking about this too, biggest evidence against it is the monitor checking his health but it's not 100% conclusive.

Actually when i think about it Vegapunk doesn't have to escape, survive, live or be saved for Kizaru's intented action to work..

He didn't want to be moved as that would cause more bleeding, Vegapunk accepted that this body was done but had another plan.. Kizaru caught on to what he said about the bleeding and understood that Vegapunk was up to something without knowing exactly what it was.. So as gesture to his old friend he went on and cauterized Vegapunk's wound as he was being transported which bought him the time he needed to download his brain and soul into Punk Records.. If Kizaru didn't do that he wouldn't have enough time to transfer all of himself in the database, so Kizaru sort of saved Vegapunk there or he would have died completely while being carried not able to relate the message he's about to broadcast to the world..

Now i'm fully on roll with Kizaru cauterizing Vegapunk..
