That's a fact, and you can't argue against it. Pre chapter 1010 CoC was only fodder control. Deal with it and now cope with it because your fav character doesn't have it.

1) Those downplaying CoC did it based on the info we had about CoC back then being fodder control.
2) Yes, a lot of Zoro fans have been wrong on this, but they got proven wrong in the context of Zoro being revealed to be able to infuse his attacks with CoC, which is an outcome even worse for Zoro haters.
