One of my friends had One Piece Grand Batte on PS2 back in 2005(Don Krieg was a monster in that game and still got the game). Got me watching the show on 4kids up until part of the Alabasta arc. Dropped it cause I thought it sucked(blame the water guns).
Got back into it in 2009 for Skypia arc on Funimation and dropped it a 2nd time cause I thought it was boring and had no idea what was going on.
Got back into again in 2010 cause of MF and dropped it for the 3rd time in 2011 cause I found Fishman Island boring as well.
Came back for the final time in 2012 during the 640s chapters and been reading ever since.

In 2012 i was 11 still a kid. I think i’ve dropped OP like 3 times. I was watching the anime and around 2015 i droppen it cuz of Dressrossa. The pacing was horrible.
Came back 2 years later cuz my friends hyped it up. I’ve been readin OP weekly since 2017.
BTW i did not know wtf manga was before 2017.

I had already watched a few "cartoons" on TV (Dragon Ball, Naruto, Pokemon...), later i found out what anime was and how to watch it online, so i decided to start watching and of course i wanted to start from the best, so i searched on google "What is the best anime" then on a Yahoo page and among the answers, One Piece was there.

yea Manga is far better anime after EL have major pacing issues not to mention the animation

Man, I was such a brat when I got into One Piece, it's so hard to imagine being a teenager now. I think this was 15 years ago (????). As it was one of the Big Three, I had to check it out.
I had prejudice against OP for so long for its style. I thought it was weird looking and ugly, compared to Bleach and Naruto. Oddly enough now I adore Oda's style, I guess I got very adapted to it and its charms. <3

Since I was mostly home and my brother had some naruto and One piece's volumes, I started reading them.
It was during Alabasta arc, I thought it was funny and I liked luffy instantly. His recklessness, his love for his friend, for partying and meat.
I liked the interaction between the crew members. I liked the banter between zoro and sanji. Luffy, zoro and sanji were so badass in this arc that I couldn't stop reading.
