Imo it's a hypebole, totally incomparable to an actual blackhole- obviously. That's gonna be some "Oh no, innocent people are in danger" plot device later on. Didn't have any effect on WB for example and only marine fodder was sucked in iirc

Oh and Fuji's obviously >>> in force. He just doesn't suck poeple into a bottomless darkness,, but rather just crushes them.

Teach's gravitation was said to be infinite, it can pull things in and spew things out, and so far - Nobody has escaped the Yami Yami's gravitational force, not anyone.

And Zoro claimed that there is nothing that he can not cut. Do you believe that too?

I doubt Luffy will be able to counter that part of BB's df, he is a df user, he will get fucked up by Blackbeard.
However he's gaining a lot of haki power up lately, so by eos it will be useful in his fight against Blackbeard. No bullshit here, just logic and earned progression

I did back then in Dressrosa.

I doubt Luffy will be able to counter that part of BB's df, he is a df user, he will get fucked up by Blackbeard.

I think Luffy is a better counter to Blackbeard than people expect it. Gura is literally useless, as long as Gomu isnt nullified.
Black Hole will allow him to touch him and nullify it so the perfect counter is haki stopping that ability from affecting him.

Sure haki will help and Luffy against Yami Yami no mi but it's not like it doesn't make sense. It seems Oda has been preparing Luffy for that fight since TS, learning haki and getting their adv version through extreme diff battles.

A cut is a cut, doesn't matter how much damage he did, since he stated he could cut anything there was nothing he couldn't cut, including Kaido who was stated to be special.
And he was the only swordsman to get a compliment from him.
He also learn to cut fire.

I am sure the whole point of Luffy learning to use CoC is to stop some DF abilities from affecting in some way, like Black Hole.

In some way sounds alright. Blackbeard will still be able to hurt him, I'm pretty sure we're all underestimating BB's haki.
He was one of the first talking about haki and sensing Luffy's haki. He is moat likely one of the best haki user, he'll have everything (strong df's, strong haki and physical strength).

I think he will be weak in hakis, basics and thats it.
The reason for that is because his DFs already provide him with the same thing Haki does.
His Black Vortex = CoC barrier. Gura Punches = CoC barrier clad internal damage...
His sole purpose was finding the Yami no Mi... He also seems physically decently strong.

Fujitora so far has mostly been seen to use his gravity as a aggressive force, apart from lifting the rubble with his gravity, overwhelming the opponent or thing with a powerful force.

Here are some clear pointers that show the way Teach uses the Yami Yami's gravity is different from the way Issho uses the Zushi Zushi's.

Teach's is more like a creepy inescapable force, sucking everything and anything, like a vacuum, truly like a power of the most evil devil fruit.

He was also able to pull in living things such as marine soldiers and even second division commander ace with his powerful gravity.

We've seen Teach use his gravity to store things or people in his own sort of dark dimension and regurgitate them out. There he says he compresses them with "infinite power" suggesting that his gravity is inescapable again.

He is then able to regurgitate things crushed by his gravity out, (Yes even living things).

OT: Fujitora's gravity from what we've seen is more basic and straightforward than Teach's.

Blackbeard doesn't seem to be poorly knowledgeable about devil fruit matters either, he actually looked fairly expert at least to some extent. He knew he was able to endure two devil fruits and even how to take it from Whitebeard for instance.

Since he’s not intangible what’s stopping him from getting his head chopped off from a faster swordsman with stronger Haki? If the 3 original admirals bombard him would his “ black hole” be able to keep up or do you think it’s possible for him to die.

So would Kizaru moving at light speed, or Fuji’s gravity, or Oven’s heat, etc. Lots of anime powers are physics inaccurate to avoid breaking the story completely.

BB’s blackhole could actually be a blackhole in One Piece and not have the same realm of actual force behind it as a real blackhole. Just like Kizaru couldn’t be moving at true “light speed” as it exists in our universe.

I’m not sure if BB’s vortex is actually supposed to be a blackhole or not. But using real world physics and applying it to One Piece to say it can’t possibly be is a bad argument against it.

If it turns out to only suck in DF users that will be definitive evidence it’s only called that and isn’t actually one at all.





Its the same argument that says heat > heat when talking about Akainu vs Oven. Just because Oven has the heat heat fruit, doesn’t mean he can reach the same destructive temperatures as an Admiral, otherwise Oven would be much much more feared as he would have in Oda’s words “the highest offensive power among DFs” equal to Akainu.

Darkness isn’t a blackhole so none of what you said is viable. Kizaru moves at lightspeed because he is a light human. Oven has the powers of heat period and his output is higher than magma/would get higher if he became admira level, magma has a max temperature. Fujitora controls gravity and it’s literally the same rea world physics.

Teech’s power can’t be a blackhole because a blackhole isn’t darkness, which his fruit is lmao. A blackhole IS gravity, extremely strong gravity centereded in one spot from a collapsed star. He is using hyperbole like when he called Ace’s flames the sun.

You don’t need to use exact real world physics to see that it’s BS.

And Sakazuki does not have the most offensively powerful devil fruit that was clearly Oda just hyping him up as he always done. It’s common sense that magma is inferior to lightning and a whole multitude of different elements, for starters lightning can get as hot as the surface of the sun while magma can’t, so there’s one flaw already to believing that.

Mag Mag no Mi is only superior to the Mera Mera because it suffocates the flame while absorbing the heat

Sigh... Clearly it’s not regular darkness, genius. I’m saying that his power is NOT gravity, therefore it isn’t a blackhole which is evident to anyone with a fraction of a brain. It is “darkness” with a supernatural secondary effect of being able to suck things in akin to a blackhole while not actually being one.

And his darkness is manifested as a dark mist and last I checked a blackhole had no phyiscal form as it is just a warphole of pure gravity.

And for the record Blackbeard does not know what he is talking about because for the third time he described the Mera Mera no Mi as the power of the sun. And called Whitebeards fruit the “power of light in one hand” lmao
