He does have a point. There's a difference between punching once a female and actively beating the shit out of her like he did to Crocodile, Doffy, Lucci, Kaido... Etc. It's not like Luffy can't/won't do it, because he's probably capable of doing so, it's just Oda himself not wanting to do that. And for y'all saying the rather rare occasions of Luffy's "beating" a woman, just look at the difference.
Vivi got punched once and stood up to keep punching Luffy.
The only one getting "beaten" was Luffy himself.
Just compare how he punched Vivi and how he punched Crocodile:
You can't genuinely tell me that it's the same. And just look at how he left him after the fight:
And for instance, THIS is beating the shit out of someone, not a half assed punch:
