So Luffy taking out a ship that has expressed intent on sinking the samurai is okay. Kid taking out 9 ship who are all literally expressing their intent on taking him out is not?

Luffy sinking a ship to save samurai is better, yes, IDK how you think otherwise. Luffy is not the aggressor in this situation and uses a nameless G4 attack.

again it doesn’t matter if Kid went all out, Luffy has done the same against fodder. Difference is one was taking out his friends and it was 1 ship while the other were multiple trying to kill him. Luffy would’ve likely done the same here too

I would just say that he's a bit more realistic than Luffy since he didn't suffer comeuppance for his stupid and reckless actions until his encounters with Shanks and Kaido.

If Luffy ever used Advanced Haki KKG against fodder, I'd agree with you.
If Luffy used Barjang Gun against fodder, I'd agree with you.
