Made a random post on it once….but Im really starting to see a lot of Sanji vs Beckman posts. And im kinda here for it.
It makes sense if Mihawk and Shanks ally, otherwise it doesn't.

Only way Sanji is fighting Beckman is if Zoro fights Shanks or Mihawk

The whole "Zoro will be out for the whole arc" is such major bullshit. Zoro has never been sidelined for a whole arc during which the Straw Hats got major fights, let alone against a Yonko crew. I mean the Straw Hats would be straight retarded to take on Shanks' crew without Zoro
This is why I've constantly pitched Mihawk reluctantly allying with Shanks. Think about it:

- Lost Shichibukai position
- Will need to be part of "some" faction in the final war
- If Luffy fights Shanks, it makes sense if Zoro fights the one person Shanks dueled with
- Both Shanks and Mihawk are heavily tied to Luffy/Zoro and their goals as pirates.

Honestly that makes a lot of sense

Especially cuz, what is Mihawk going to do if he sticks with the idea of staying all alone while he lost the Shichibukai position?

One man army vs fodders? :milaugh:

And what is he going to do in order to massively hype his strength?

The only way it works out is if even an Admiral can't manage to capture his ass, even if it means he will keep getting offscreened, that would be some crazy ass hype, so dope that i don't even see Oda doing that
:suresure:

Mihawk needs more interactions with Top Tiers like Shanks, that could bring more hype to his strength and consequently depth to his character (both are lacking). An actual meaning for his existence and title

The way I think about it is that Mihawk was involved in Marineford due to his Shichibukai position, where the story required his presence in a logical way.

Final War needs to have that same logic. Mihawk isn't gonna just randomly pop up to challenge Zoro. It makes him a shell of a character only meant for Zoro, which is frankly not how Oda operates with characters in this series.

This way, Sanji vs Beckmann would make sense, because Luffy/Zoro potentially fight their endgame battles against these 2, but that also comes with the idea that you'd have to believe Luffy vs Shanks is also the endgame too (which I personally do but I know people here dont).

But yeah totally agreed lol, it's funny how few people see this point made about Mihawk. He needs more depth and to play a role in coming events.

Oda is not treating such an important and long-awaited (almost a 1000 chapter long) fight to be a title of the World Strongest Swordman to be on equal ground with a COMMANDER fight.
So while I don't rule out the possibility of the Ben-Sanji's match up, the 2 fights can't simply happen together becauase it would undermine one another

Why can't they happen together? Zoro's fight with Mihawk probably won't be separated from other fights.

I think seeing Sanji vs Beckman, Zoro vs Mihawk, and Luffy vs Shanks as the last 3 fights in this series would be something else if I'm being honest.

Because if then there's no difference than it being just another usual fight for Zoro. This is Zoro's life dream, it's akin to Luffy becoming the PK, and Sanji finding an all blue. Grouping it with other SHs fights would undermine it sognificantly. No, the fight NEEDs to be its seperate fight where ALL the SHs are watching Zoro become the WSS, not them fucking off to fight somebody else.

It really doesn't need to be separate lol. Luffy finds one piece and becomes PK the same time Robin finds the true history, which doesn't even signify the end of the story or be anything "special" to Luffy or Robin in that moment. Making some weird, special case for Zoro vs Mihawk being some exclusive EoS fight separate from everything else doesn't make sense to me. There's no narrative pacing when you do that, it has to be tied into the endgame.

And Luffy meeting/fighting/surpassing Shanks has been built from Chapter 1. It's essentially just as important to the story, even if it's not Luffy's "exact" dream. Everyone else will be fighting people associated with Mihawk at the time thst Zoro fights Mihawk.

I'm not sure why people think it's going play out as some unique, exclusive, epilogue event.

Not if mihawk is with Shanks

Mihawk vs Zoro
Benn vs Sanji
Roo vs Jinbe
Yassop vs Ussop

That how it'll be
Anyway, RHP vs strawhats will be a friendly spar
I don't agree with this either lol. Nothing suggests this would ever be "friendly"
