Haha 🤣. That's why I said this guys shanks is always projecting. He project to Blackbeard cause he see himself in him. He also project that in aramaki cause he himself also afraid of new era👏🤣
Rereading chap. #1076, it stuck out to me just how vast Shanks' forces were on Elbaf. Not only does Shanks have his individual strength + his powerful crew, he also has the allied and subordinate pirates with him as well. Essentially his version of the Grand Fleet.
And also... Very much like what Whitebeard came to Marineford with; The full force of Whitebeard's influence that he used to take on the Navy + Shichibukai.
And on top of having his Grand Fleet and Crew assembled on Elbaf, we find out that this region of Elbaf (if not the entire island) is so infatuated with Shanks that they want to pay him tribute, want to be taken out to see, find him incredibly handsome, etc. His ties to Elbaf go so deep that the world renowned and feared Elbaf Pirate Captains Dorry & Broggy call him a brother... And Shanks personally asked them to assist him in battle.
He's asking the Elbaf Pirates to help him out against Kidd... And if that wasn't bad enough, Shanks is still trying to deescalate the situation by bargaining with Kidd and using his overwhelming military might to intimidate him.
So Shanks has his crew at full power, his grandfleet and the Elbaf Giants all there ready to fight... Kidd and Killer. And he's still not willing to go right to fists, he's doing everything in his power to avoid a fight. Shanks has more power concentrated right now than Whitebeard had running into the War of the Best. Let me just rephrase that again.
Shanks' total strength > Whitebeard Pirates during Marineford and he still doesn't want to fight Kidd.
My only question left is one that Shanks himself has asked...

Shanks is banking on numbers game really. Better to gang up on kid and killer with overwhelming odds than a protracted war against a 3 billion bounty dude who has taken part in the fall on 2 yonkos with bigger bounties then shanks himself who is known for being ruthless and has a grudge against red haired pirates .

I think he simply wants to end it as quick as possible. Another Reason for him to ask the Giants for help is actually to try to win this Battle by pure intimadation. Shanks tries to avoid unnecesary blood on both sides and offers a healthy way for the Kid Pirates to leave unscatched thats why he tries to beat them just by showing his Influential Power as a Yonko (Shanks always looked like the Type to solve Problems if possible without a Fight)

He wasn't that strong back then. He really wasn't. Higuma literally just threw a smoke bomb and the entire shanks crew like fucking losers they were didn't even think about using there observation haki and let him get away. Many of them(shanks including may not even have had observation haki back then). Then shanks got his hand chopped off by a literal fish. Didn't he have armament haki ? Probably didn't. He was cruising around with only coc and got cocky and lost his hand.
Really his plan is to gang up on kid with every resources in his disposal to not to have a protracted war against him. He might look calm but deep down shanks is not as sure as he hopes to be

Laws crew was up against the weakestembers of the bb pirates and even then they weren't shown outright fighting them just stopped some explosive apples and bullets. Heat and wire posing a challenge to roo or yassop would be bs and I'm not buying killer lasting long against a guy that by portrayal should be well above katakuri or king

Shanka going for an overkill against Kid tbh, although it’s clear he would win, but the only conclusion I could come up with is he wanna keep minimum damage on himself, crew and Elbaf island as he might be going to do something major as he for some reason had his entire fleet with him and was planning to leaving the island if not for Kid.
It really makes no sense lmao.
One thing that may happen though, is Kid possibly pulling Luffy's CoC feat from Fishman Island and KO'ing a lot of the allied pirates.
This would possibly get Shanks to deem Kid worthy of challenging him to a 1v1fight, and while Kid might get stomped, he would still come out of there looking pretty decent without getting himself and his entire crew massacred by Shanks + Beckman + crew + giants + fleet.
